Circle burnouts

Allright guys. I need some help now. I can bang long rolling burnouts like its my job. I can even slow them down to slower than walking speed. Got it on lock!! HAHA My problem is I cant control them to do what I want. What I mean is I want to do circles and cant get it to do so. When I turn the bars the bike still goes straight but sideways. I put some pressure on the left peg so I can go left but it did not really work. I know I am leaving some things out here so I will add as soon as I can think of it. Any ideas???

ok you got the burnin out part already...so you just have to feather the brake and turn the bars with a slight lean, not to much cause it will come out from under ya, then after she starts turning its all balance and counter steering, they are real simple once you have the basics then you can steer it around in circles and all sorts of other shapes...just be ready to grab the clutch and drop your foot if she starts to come out from under ya...and p.s. my shop sells tires hahaha jk, but we really do

When you say feather the brake and turn the bars, are you meaning like in a counter steer mode?

dont counter steer until you already have the momentum of the circle you dont want to start whipping..and believe me you will, most the the lean will carry the circle while turn the wheel in the direction you wanna go, but rememeber its a slight leanand by feathering the brake it keeps your speed low so your not goin balls out and when you keep it slow you can learn to turn better, use the counter steering for balance and to change circles from big to small

As soon as the road dries out I am going out on a trek. I think I have most of what I need. Pretty much just give a slight turn and a little lean to the direction I want to go. Super slow. Wish I had somebody to hold the video camera for this. Thanks sac.

As a follow up. We had shitty weather this weekend. I managed to get a temp tire for $30.00. So I just went around my neighborhood doing rolling burnouts until the tire was just about ready. With dry roads ofcourse!! Switched that bugger around and had to use a bicycle pump to air the tire up. HAHA Took forever.

should try gettin a small little car compresser things work wonders and miracles...i just picked up a road hazard kit came with a couple c02 cartriges and a nifty little attachment and some plugs it works pretty well from what i hear, fills it enough to get to a gas station

I've been getting a compressor for the past few months. Guy at work has one that runs on 3-phase. Seeing as I cannot get that in my house I have to do without for now. It was free.

Hard skill, you got frame sliders or a cage, wick?

Sliders. No cage. My only fear if messing my bike up. As I said, long rolling ones are easy. That took some time to get the hang of. Now I pretty much just stand up and lean forward and let 'er rip like its nothing. I just keep getting chicken when it comes time to turn. I get 'em slower that you can even think but the turn just does not want to work for me. Its supposed to be a noce weekend and I have some new rubber on so I might just go and practice a little bit.

Yeah man, slow speed is key! The slower the rear tire is spinning the easier it is to do. It's when the rear is spinning quick that you'll flip to either side and fall over. Just stay over the tank and turn the bars ever so slightly to whatever side you favor. As you steer you may have to counter steer to keep control of the ass end. If you've gotten this far then you're on your own. They're actually not too bad once you've learned them. Be prepared to put it on it's side eventually though, it will happen. good luck meng!

lol grab a set of pilot sport wait till about 70 degrees temp.. I've managed to do the slowest burnout possible lmao.. kinda funny doin burnout at 1000rpms.. ( tires not bald either, 70% tread left if not more) just to see the rotor holes and watch the tire go round is funny. at 1k. So doing circle was pretty easy i could walk it around. Raven

We are talking about standing on the pegs donuts right? Not just sitting on the seat walking the bike around with your feet like my grandmother does, right?

You know what's even easier to do than donuts and looks just as cool? Over the windscreen burnouts. It's easy as pie, just throw your legs over the front of the windscreen while sitting on the gas tank and then just do a normal slow rolling burnout. The first day I tried these I was doing slow steered one handers. This is a very easy trick and impressive to look at too! Good luck by the way it's alot easier to do without mirrors, you're less committed. Just my 2 cents!

i think high chair burnout donuts are the best..and easier to do than standing on the pegs...the fronts got plenty of weight and the ass is light...easier for me anyway
