Oh my god, Steve Johnson just got royally screwed at Indy. All the camera angles clearly show Johnson coming across the finish line first but according to the timers Matt Smith won by .013 at the line. NHRA looked at the film and said that they had to stick with what their equipment said. Smith riding the Buell won the race. Once again NHRA stuck it to Suzuki in the ass. Johnson tried to plead his case but showed a lot of class by not completely blowing his top. For any of you who follow the Suzukis in NHRA Prostock Motorcycle class this decision should be an outrage. As I have mentioned before, I have been a fan of Prostock Bike for many years and after seeing what has happend to Suzuki all year and now this tonight, sorry guys I just had to vent. Thanks for reading my post.

I agree completly with the opinon that it is all messed up , Johnson clearly won that race,,,, but to play devils advocate for a second, In the NHRA rule book it says that any competitor is resposible to make sure that their vehicle can be picked up by the timing sensors. My hubby & I were watching the race last night and it looked like his front end was off the ground a little bit. He wheelied over the beam. But that sucks for Suzuki and Johnson

Yeah, today is a new day. I've cooled down now. I've always kinda pulled for Johnson ever since back in the day when he rode the "slick 50" bike, and I hated to see him lose a race that he definitely won. I understand the use of rule books and I see the arguement for that but sometimes the right thing isn't always what the rule book says. Oh well, I guess right now it's crazy to get too worked up about anything when people are going through what they are going through in the south. Drive safe everyone, Peace!

NHRA has overturned its ruling. Steve Johnson is the winner of the 51st running of the Mac Tools US Nationals. See www.nhra.com for more information.

I just got home from work and was thrilled to see your post. Thanx, if you hadn't posted it I wouldn't have probably heard about it until I caught it on speed or something. I'm glad to see NHRA did the right thing. Thanx again for the post.
