Clanktank 09-14-2005, 06:18 AM Hi guys, just to let you know that these were published in the UK today.
http://www.gixxer.com/uploads/newgsxr.jpg
Summary of write up:
All new motor, designed to be as compact as possible to allow underslung exhuast.
High gearbox and clutch tucked in behind cylinders instead of behind engine block.
Main silencer and cat are triangular shaped and are fitted under gearbox, second silencer poking out on righthand side.
New frame that curves over the engine rather than wrapping around it to allow much bigger ram-air intakes.
No power figures yet, but expected 115bhp and 135bhp at the rear wheel.
Both bikes have brake calipers from GSXR-1000, with the 750 getting titanium-nitrade coated forks.
Lighter and slimmer wheels, blue for the 600 and black for the 750.
Weight expected to be below 160kg.
Similar swingarm to GSXR-1000, with wide range of wheelbase adjustment.
RI-Gixxer 09-14-2005, 06:33 AM they look so sweet  , but I can't really afford to change my bike every 2 yrs or so wish I can get one, I knew they'll look like the 1000.
Awesome lookin. I'll wait 4 the specs though. if that gix is pumpin 115 bhp I might get it but the 1000 is just well the one. Tanks 4 the pics.
Bowjackson 09-14-2005, 09:19 AM Was there any info on the 06 busa? :bounce
Thanks clank  Can't wait to see them in person and color variations.
gixxerK5six 09-14-2005, 10:34 AM shiet..shoulda waited for the 06s to come out instead....
SHIT IS SICK DAMN!!!! I guess it's time to bend over and get ass raped on the trade in of the katana.
RI-Gixxer 09-14-2005, 11:05 AM doesn't matter if you have waited for the '06 the japs, change these things so often cause they know us the Americans will just keep trading up for the newer model, you can't never really keep up, all a scam. Just keep enjoying what you have man
PHiBRELiNX 09-14-2005, 11:48 AM shouldve gotten the 06
05 is nice as hell, but Im not 100% sure about the headlight...
That's my next one! though haha

XPointBlakeX 09-14-2005, 01:46 PM I am trading my 05 in  When are they supposed to be released?
jd519 09-14-2005, 06:34 PM i dont know about you guys but i dont really liek the turn signals on the mirrors. other then that, its a sweet bike and i would buy one in a heart beat.
REVLIMIT 09-14-2005, 07:22 PM Did you see the smoked out signal covers? makes it pretty much look like the signals aren't even there when it isn't flashing. They only cost like...$30 I think on ebay.
Motojoe_23 09-14-2005, 07:39 PM I am SEROUSLY diggin the new blue wheels though..... bought time they werent either black or white........ not counting limeted editions like gold and shit..
REVLIMIT 09-14-2005, 08:05 PM I think they should make an all black version...with bronze rims....that would be heaven.
spyderpaint2004 09-14-2005, 08:12 PM glad to know the pics from before are official, BUT we still are left in the dark about color variations..... :headshake
if they are color coating the rims the same color as the bike, i will cream myself if they got that in yellow/black
 yellow and black 600
 yellow and black 600

Thor32766 09-15-2005, 06:41 AM Wow, God I hope they make an all BLACK 750. The pics of the canadian 1000 in all black were sick!
G03ixxer6 09-15-2005, 02:33 PM those shits are dirrrrty
johnnylovely 09-15-2005, 07:24 PM In the pic both bikes have the same forks, the 750 was listed as titanium not the 600. Anyone else notice that?
Yeah, sure is nice looking.
Here are some high res images I found at mcnews.au

Mainly just a paint difference from the two, but the forks and wheels are two other subtle give-aways.
My rendition of what I hope they offer; BLACK! That is one SICK ride IMO!
My rendition in red. Sorry, not the best job in the whole world, but you get the idea. Think they'll offer yellow next year too?
datngo087 09-15-2005, 09:09 PM Was there any info on the 06 busa?
BallHawk3 09-15-2005, 09:24 PM dammit...i hope they make black and yellow like the 05 1k!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

I hope it looks like that..........
bikerxl 09-16-2005, 08:27 AM Looks very sharp
dusteefartz 09-16-2005, 08:34 AM AAAAAAAGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

gsxr71983 09-16-2005, 08:55 AM i am into the blue rims, they look sweet, i just dont like how much more open the fairings are. thats just me.
REVLIMIT 09-16-2005, 10:39 AM Yup I'm starting to like the blue rims now...and I also have to agree on the fairings. Don't really care for them being so small and open like that. Hmmm...one thing I forgot to ask...are they going to have a slipper clutch? I'm guessing they would since Kawi has one in their bike.
bikerxl 09-16-2005, 10:56 AM Probably has to to with higher engine performance so more need for cooling. Better wind flow etc.
Is this blue lighter?
Why don't they just intergrate the blinkers on each side of the head light. Instead on the mirrors. That would make it look more like in the picture below, or even could use clear glass with colored light bulbs.
REVLIMIT 09-16-2005, 12:33 PM I'm guessing legal wise having the turn signals there wouldn't be the best move. Like the R1's have them by the headlights...but they also have the ones on the side. I'm guessing there's some type of rule of how far apart they have to be or something.
A good thing about having them on the mirrors is cars would probably be able to see them a lot better. Since it would be more at eye level when they're in their cars.
A good thing about having them on the mirrors is cars would probably be able to see them a lot better. Since it would be more at eye level when they're in their cars.
That is true, but I have also heard from my friend they are hard to see out of. Too much vibration with them to see out of them clearly. I don't know if he's just driving 150mph all the time or what. He has the 2005 GSXR1000 with the turn signals in the mirrors. He put the 2004 or 2003 mirrors on his and moved the signal wiring to the indicator lights just like the picture below that bikerxl posted.
Hmmm...one thing I forgot to ask...are they going to have a slipper clutch? I'm guessing they would since Kawi has one in their bike.
I read a rumor that said....yes....slipper clutches we were going to see them for 2006.
01 600 09-17-2005, 07:35 AM Guessing the fairings are open because the exhaust is in there cooking the engine and fairing.
standman4320 09-17-2005, 12:55 PM its gonna be a hard choice.....06 750 or 06 R1....????
DohcterGARY 09-17-2005, 01:28 PM If these are official pics, i'm liking it.. How much of a "coincidence" could it be that yamaha and suzuki went with a short stubby exhaust for the new bikes on the same year.. hmmmm
blue rims are pretty slick too.. i like the turn signals in the mirrors. that way when i take off the mirrors, no signal holes in my fairings.. who needs them anyway.. :thefinger
Bowjackson 09-17-2005, 04:15 PM When is the dealer show, does anyone know?
JoshTS4 09-17-2005, 04:38 PM The blue rims look hot. Wonder if you can get the 750 with the blue rims
REVLIMIT 09-17-2005, 05:12 PM its gonna be a hard choice.....06 750 or 06 R1....????
Why not 06 GSXR1000 or 06 R1 O_o price wise they'd be the same and what not. Can't really compare a new 750 and a new 1000...
gsxr_teen 09-17-2005, 06:14 PM they look nice amazin how they make new one evry year thanks for the pics
Psych_77 09-17-2005, 06:53 PM its gonna be a hard choice.....06 750 or 06 R1....????
as much as it pains me to say it, R1 is where i'm leaning

i'm contenplating an upgrade next spring and i think mine is between an R1 and a 750. personally i've never really liked the exhaust on the gsxr 1000 but really like what they have done with the 06 750 if that pic is legit. i know for the most part we all go aftermarket on the exhaust but i still don't like the after market exhausts on the gsxr 1000.
LittleFoot 09-19-2005, 09:50 PM Ohh i am deffinetly getting the blue and white 600 .... i cant wait
marko138 09-20-2005, 03:39 AM Was there any info on the 06 busa? :bounce
Yeah, ugly, like every other year.
When is the dealer show, does anyone know?
I think the dealer show is the end of this month, isn't it?
ballstothewall 09-20-2005, 07:24 AM The 06 stuff probably won't be out until late winter--just when we'll be able to ride! I'm thinkin along the lines of a new '06 750. I just want to see what the shorty pipes look like in person. Any idea what these things will cost??
usdm420 09-20-2005, 11:56 AM i still dont understand how people buy their bikes based on its exhaust...never got that concept....oh well..
standman4320 09-20-2005, 01:44 PM I dont know, but I kinda like it
getthesand0ut 09-20-2005, 04:25 PM hey just wonderin u think that there goin to be out in late winter?

I heard expect anything from 2 weeks to 2 months after the dealer show in dallas. All depends on availability and demand I'm guessing.

i need to check this out friday for myself.
as for suzuki, i hope they unveil the 600 on their website for monday oct 3rd. i am really pumped to see if there's a yellow color scheme. tonight im going up to the local shop to see if they have atleast 06 1k and maybe some information about release dates.
it sucks not being able to sit on the bikes or even see the suzukis.... im really digging the R6 raven, but i still am looking for a yellow bike. and no the 50th edition R6 is HORRIBLE!!!! :headshake
getthesand0ut 09-21-2005, 02:50 PM ya i hope they do come out earlier i would be really upset having to wait till feb to get one . but everyone down here in orlando is sayin feb. that i have asked

Faster 09-24-2005, 10:34 AM My brother is picking up the 06 limited yellow R6 or the 06 Raven R6, I cant wait to see more on the new lil gsxr, Im almost positive thats what Im going to pick up this Christmas

this is one reason why i questioned suzuki's bikes. because before this year i wasnt familiar with motorcycle motors. BUT i am very familiar with arctic cat motors :2hard
every other weekend they break down. when they run, they are fast, but to get them to run is a biatch. lucky i dont own arctic cat
SKI DOO BABY :thefinger
gixxerk3 09-27-2005, 10:34 AM Suzukis are fast and I have NEVER had a problem with any of mine.
tatsu 09-27-2005, 01:08 PM to much crap about snowmobiles....id rather hear more on the 06 bikes
gixxerk3 09-27-2005, 01:21 PM I just got the new Sport Rider and it had the same pictures and info as people have posted on here. We are just goin to have to wait for Suzuki to start releasing the good info.
I just got back from the same dealership that told me that te 600's are going to be out in nov, they now say march :hmmm:
tatsu 09-28-2005, 10:23 AM from about nov-march there really is much weather worth riding in anyway...i dont care when they are out in that time....i just wanna know real specs.....
nov=snow
march=gravel covered roads
speak for yourself.. we have a few more riding days than you guys up north :bounce
cpekz 09-28-2005, 11:03 AM 115 hp to the wheels? Now I do wish I had waited another year, my bike has over $1000 in performance mods and still only has like 110 :2hard Most people knock the way the new zuk's look but I like it, just not sure if I like it as much as mine :D
looksstock 09-28-2005, 01:03 PM I can't wait till everyone runs out and buys the new shit, so I can slide in and practically steal their 05's from them. Black and Blue 750 is the first on my list.

tatsu 09-30-2005, 09:26 AM looks good but what a horrible angle....im guessin that pic was to show the new exaust.
RI-Gixxer 09-30-2005, 09:59 AM this white/blue 600 is by far my favorite one.
don't relly like the turn signals at all, but do like the lines of the bike.
tatsu 09-30-2005, 10:20 AM is this a torture test or what????....theres gotta be more pics then that!!!!!!!
that blood red is HOT
gixxerk3 09-30-2005, 10:45 AM I love that red! I hope they offer that color in the US. I would probably have to pick one up. Then I could stretch my 1K and make it a show/strip bike and I would still have a kick ass bike for the twisties.
dusteefartz 09-30-2005, 12:15 PM anyone wanna buy a 05 750 blue and white? look below for a pic....lol. no but serioulsly does anyone?

spyderpaint2004 09-30-2005, 02:46 PM i dont like the idea that the red 750 has more black plastic than red..... i dont get why they are doing that to the bikes :headshake
i'm loving the blue rims on the 600 tho.
+1 about having the same style bikes in the US.
and of course.....i hope they have a yellow/black 600 :arsenal
i knew i should have waited, man....
1gsm16 09-30-2005, 08:54 PM Man that is sweet...Is it just me or with that exhaust being that short isn't it going to be pretty loud...or am I just dead wrong on this?
tatsu 10-01-2005, 12:51 AM thats wha im guessin....but doesnt it need to be less then 85 DB stock to be street worthy?
better picture of the new exhaust
http://www.raptorsandrockets.com/images/ParisShow2005%20023%20750Exhaust.JPG
Looks like most of the muffler is under the bike, plus the part that sticks out. Looks like it would be F'n loud.
gixxerk3 10-01-2005, 07:35 AM I dont think it will be too loud. There is a good size muffler under the bike. It isnt just the size of the muffler that quiets it down but more how it is designed.
Stu#34 10-01-2005, 11:01 AM I am trading my 05 in  When are they supposed to be released?
This the first pics ive seen....awsome, i was looking at the 06 R6 and looks mint...the Gixer blows it away by far...roll on march 06
