ran the 01' 600 tonight

figured i'd leave a post on here tonight b/c i'm pretty pumped about the little 600. I'm running an 01 with some mods, nothing special. Ate up the new zx6r at the strip tonight along with some others. It'd carry the front wheel through second and drop in third. Kinda funny, when i got done, everyone said too bad it's not a 600. They thought for sure i'd swapped the motors out. Guess they just hadn't had it handed to them by a suzuki yet.

haven't got any times. The strip is shut down but we got a huge group out there anyways. I'm sure they wouldn't be impressive to you guys.

Have you ever ran in Wichita? There is a Saturday Night Street Fights this Saturday. Its a late one though. Starts at midnight thirty. Lota fun though. Last time they had one I didn't get home till about 4:30 in the morning abd they still had some more to go. I live about 10 mins. from the track so it didn't take long for me to get home. On the street fights you don't need leather pants like normal races. So you can show up with a leather jacket, gloves, and a helmet and run several times. Then you can post some times and know what she'll run. Its only $15 to run time onlys. Gates open at 10:30. Try to come up.

I got the same thing...they came up to me and said "nice touch putting the 600 decals on the 1000", i said "YEAH!, and then i decided since i put 600 decals on it id put a 600 rear wheel, swingarm, forks, fairing stay and tach on it!'' i must say i was pretty amzed myself....10.58 at 127 with a 1.7 60 foot time. as far as beating other bikes...you really cant compare because its all rider.....i had a full tenth on a lowered 05 RAVEN R1 that was there that night. Oh and i forgot to mention my 600 is BONE STOCK< STOCK PIPE< STOCK GEARING< NOT LOWERED STOCK EVERYTHING!!! i will scan and post my slip first chance...

I'll have to make it up to wichita from the way it sounds. I'm addicted to it now. 10.58 is smokin, i'd like to see how close i could get. Jaygsxr, have you ever been to cassady?

damn 10.58??? what year 600??? thats crazy, especially when your 60' an still drop another tenth

i'd be pissed if a 600 blew me off on my 1000 down the quarter, but lets face it, not gunna happen :thumbup:

Yes I have. I went on Sunday. Got beat to death from the wind but wasn't all bad. I went twice this year. The portable dyno is always fun to watch. See what everyone has for HP. I might try it next year. Maybe before and after I do some mods that will get me some more HP. Have you gone before? :thumbup:

the 600 is an 01 and its funny because i have an 02 as well and the 02 has a MIG pipe on it and will only do a 10.65.....wierd. the 01 is stock all
