ZJM 09-30-2005, 11:32 AM awesome find!! gixxerk3 09-30-2005, 11:41 AM Wow that red and black looks incredible. Maybe Ill pick one of those up in the spring if they offer that color in the US. If I did that I would have to keep my 1K too. I would miss the power too much to give it up. That Red/Black is a 600. The 750 is Maroon/Black...go figure...pffffff. XanderZuk 12-01-2005, 06:39 PM Does anyone see where frame sliders will mount on the new bike?? vincet 12-01-2005, 07:39 PM what new bike? I have a 06-gsxr1000 and i got them from moto911.com XanderZuk 12-01-2005, 08:05 PM what new bike? I have a 06-gsxr1000 and i got them from moto911.com
Sorry, specifically the 06 600 or 750. I know that they make them for the new 1000, even suzuki has them on their site. But if you look at the frame on the new 600's or 750's, the bolt where the slider would attach isnt there. Chango 12-02-2005, 03:14 AM It's there. Go to the Suzuki UK site at:
http://www.suzuki-gb.co.uk/
Click on the GSX-R600, go to the gallery (link on right side of screen), click on one of the colors, and choose the High Definition resolution. The picture will be huge. It won't fit on your monitor. Scroll around to the engine section, and on the blue and white picture you can clearly see the engine mount bolt. It's right in the middle of a rather small section of the plastic, but getting some frame sliders in there shouldn't be any problem at all. We shouldn't even have to cut the plastic. I only found the bolt a couple of days ago myself. I hadn't realized that there is a frame spar running around the engine until I looked at the huge picture of the blue and white one. It doesn't stand out enough from the rest of the black or black/gray one.
Chango Chango 12-02-2005, 03:17 AM Oh, they're mounted a lot lower than they are on the '05 600 or even the '05-'06 1000.

Chango, if you're talking about the piece of plastic thats sort of arrow shaped and would point towards the knee then I dont think that that is it. There are several reasons for this. One, I think that the bolt is physically too low. I think that it would act like a pivot point on the bike increasing the chance for the bike to flip further. Also, if you look at the bikes left side, on that same portion of plastic, there is no bolt to be found!
This has really been frustrating me! Or I'm just looking at the wrong piece of plastic.. Chango 12-02-2005, 01:28 PM Well, it's the only one I see that could be it without having to cut plastic for sliders. Plus, it's the right type of bolt (I have my original right here in front of me). As for it being too low, I agree with you. It does look way too low. Maybe the engineers know something we don't, or maybe they have gotten the mass so centralized that they're high enough where they are.
As for the lack of the bolt on the left hand side, I haven't seen a good picture of the left side of the bike yet. Even the one from raptors and rockets doesn't work today, so I can't even check on it for myself. The one at the top of this post is too dark and too low resolution to tell for sure. I didn't even notice the ones I'm thinking are the slider mounts until I looked at the supersized image of the blue/white on the British website. If you know where I can find a better pic of the left side, please share! If it's on a website, or in a magazine I will definitely check it out. Otherwise I won't know for sure until I buy mine in March.
Chango XanderZuk 12-02-2005, 05:49 PM Chango, scroll halfway down this thread and look at the black bike. good picture of the left side. heres the link to the page http://www.gsxr.com/showthread.php?t=8261&page=4&pp=10 Chango 12-02-2005, 06:48 PM Thanks for the link to the pics. I somehow missed that one when it was originally posted. Dang. Now I'm even more worried about the frame sliders... I guess I'll find out in March or so when it gets here. But I can't understand why Suzuki would go backwards in the frame-slider-mounting department... Huh.
Chango jt600gsxr 12-26-2005, 12:49 PM great find nice site twistdtalez 08-05-2006, 12:02 AM yeah on most of the frame sliders i saw you had to drill the left side plastic...i have to with my vortex and my friend had to with his shogun...i guess thats where the playdoh method comes in hand KandyGixxer 08-11-2006, 04:58 PM do they make a all blk 750 in the states? GixxerK!d 08-11-2006, 09:25 PM wow, way to bring up an old thread.. some of the people who posted here actually ended up getting a k6..
but yah they make a couple really good no-cuts . shogun does and motivation does both are really nice quality. Cuts are suppose to be better protection for your bike
and for the all black.. rumor has it in 2007 they will have one in the U.S.
but currently no all black in the states | |
