gsxr drag time

Well, I finally the got the '05 600 out to the track. This was my first time racing a motorcycle on the track. And it was for shits and giggles cause right now i have no plastics or gauge cluster or anything on it. Basically just went by sound and I ran a 10.96 @ 123 w/ 1.818 60ft time. How does that compare to any other gixxers on this board? The bike is completely stock also btw.

That's not bad at all. I have an 03 750 and about a year ago was my last time at the strip. I ran an 11.5. Adjusting for my elevation would have probably been a low 11. I'm sure with the right rider my bike would hit low to mid 10's. I have changed my sprokets and chain since then so I'm sure even I would be able to get under 11 now. :thumbup:

Yeah when I get the front end back on I'd like to see if I can get it any faster. Cause I had no clue how many rpms I was launching at. Some runs I'd pull the wheel wayyyy up, some didn't. The 10.96 run was a perfect launch. Some guys out there on bikes strapped my bike to see if I could get down there faster but when I strapped it I ran 11.008 @ 122. I could have launched harder that time but I was afraid to since I'd never launched with the bike strapped.

Not bad at all. That is a dam good time, especially for your first time on the track with it.

nice run. my best is 11.208 @ 125.68 w/ a 1.978 60 ft. tracks at about 2100 ft.elev.

I ran mine last weekend. '02 750 with scorpion bolt on and +3 on the rear. Consistantly ran side by side with my buddy on his '03 954. We were running low 7's all night averaging around 7.35, but that was in 1/8th mile so i'm not quite sure how that compares to 1/4. We ran them just for the hell of it, then we wheelied down the track doing stupid stuff in front of the police and couldn't get in trouble for it :thumbup:

I used to race my friends 03 gsxr 600. When it just had a yoshi bolt on and strapped my nest was 10.69 @ 124

Were you out at Desoto? If you were I think I saw you there. I had the slammed blue GSXR 600.

my k5 runs a 9.97 at 144mph in the 1/4 mile and a 6.56 at 118 mph in the 1/8 if that helps you out any on the 1/8 to 1/4 mile change.

hey muncie huh? we drag at new hope speedway!! its an 1/8 mile i got 7.4 was best time with all my goodies you should come there and see when it gets warm...we are gonna talk to them about letting us out on a stunt show inbetween test and tune and the race :thumbup:

New Hope? Is that the one up or around Kokomo? A bunch of my friends went to some big 1/8 race comewhere last year and I was suppose to go, I acually forget why I didnt. Im going to make it this year. Its suppose to have a big payout for street class. A few guys I race with are from that area.
