Well, just recently, a couple of old friends from high school have found me on myspace. So i've been keeping in touch with them. One of my friends Richard (who was a year younger than me, a grade below), who i was really good friends with his older brother found me on myspace and we've been talking again since. Yesterday I read a bulletin he posted on myspace. An old friend high school that Richard hung out with passed away. George Kalev, who was two grade below me and a grade below Richard. All Richard knew was that George passed away and didn't know why, then later on that day we found out he died in a motorcycle accident. I wasn't really friends with George, I knew him and we would say "what up ocassionally" whenever we passed by cause he was friends with a couple of my friends. He was a cool kid, funny guy and pretty laid back from what I remembered. It's sad to find this out. I really haven't talked to george since high school. Never though he would be riding either. George was attending at UCSB and was traveling with some friends. He was on his motorcycle and lost control around a curve. He caught some air and landed in some bushes. His friends tried to save him, they pulled him off the road and preformed CPR but it was too late. George died minutes after the accident due to his injuries. He was 19. I did some research and found this article on google. http://www.dailynexus.com/news/2005/10127.html http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d75/sleepingrichard/R.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d75/sleepingrichard/256690556_m.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d75/sleepingrichard/145231117_l.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d75/sleepingrichard/omg.jpg RIP George. Its sad to hear this happen and a shame I didn't know you better. You will be remembered and missed.

Sorry for the loss. May he rest in peace. Seems a lot of people passing on these days due to motorcycle accidents. May we all be watched over during the holiday season.

I rarely look at this tribute area for exactly this reason. Ever since I saw a body on the side of the road, next to a mangled Harley, I've changed my riding style. The other day I was driving my truck near the exact place of that accident when I see this wheel come bouncing over the center divider coming right at me. It flew by my window at around 80 mph or so. It was going faster than the traffic on the side of the freeway it came from. I called 911 and yelled at some poor lady to "GET SOMEONE OUT HERE KNOW!!!" I would have never thought of anything like that happening. What if I was cruising at 100 plus, in the fast lane, on the bike, at night, and a WHEEL came flying at me at 80 mph. It would be worse than a gullotine. I ride in the slow lane at night now very paranoid. I know it will pass as it always does but SHIT!!!! There are so many unkown elements out there it's ridiculous... Anyways R.I.P. George, now you can hit the 200 mph club in the clouds.

RIP. The guy was Bulgarian, so am I, but I don't think I knew him. I am sure we have mutual friends because there are not that many Bulgarians in LA. RIP
