Drop sprocket in the front but your bike maybe wayy fast enough for you and you may not know how to or shift or right it to its potential. How long you been riding? Take it to a Trackday or go visit a drag strip then you should see where or how fast your bike actually is
Oh well in that case you need to sell that 750 and get a 1k
Don't drop a tooth either or you will be left farther once you get to 140 or so.
If you can't get a 1k then NOS bigbore kit or depending onwhat your $$$ looks like as stated b4
-1 will let you be a little closer 0-100 or so, but what's your budget? I'd definitely go with a full exhaust, I have a rs-3 on my 00 750 and it's sounds sick. But the full system, K&N air filter, TRE, PC3, get all your stuff on there first and then have it dyno tuned.
Oh yeah, how much of a difference would racing cams or aftermarket cams make?
PCIIIusb or PCIIIr or Yoshimura EMS(is PCIIIusb and PCIIIr all in one).
A Full Race Exhaust System Something like these: Yoshimura with TRI-OVAL Can or HMF BigBird Can or Brock Hindle Gen 3 or Akrapovic or Ti-Force or Micron(those are the best of the best from my reading and all as far as exhaust goes, but remember get Carbon Fiber Cans).
BCM RACE Filter, NOT K&N.
Change sprockets accorddingly.
A good Tunning job with custom mapping.
full exhaust..(but from what i hear a tit.stock 1000 header and a slip on will gain almost the same amount of power(cheaper too ) tre, pair vav. mod, i went with 4 short stacks(cut the center too to match the outter) gained 3hp on dyno, bcm filter, i also went 2 teeth up in rear(520 chain.), a PCII(earley 01 750 have to use this pcII,latter 01's can use PCIII) i had my stock computer remapped...ps i heard if you take the stock 1000 intake cam place it into the 750 intake side, then place the stock 750 intake cam place it into the exhaust side, you'll gain hp from that too..you'll have to do alil research on that tho.). ill try to think of a few more latter
2001 GSXR750,Full Polished,Chrome,Custom Remap,Full M4,TRE,Pair Valve,Short Stacks,BMC,+2 520,1/3 turn throttle,S.S brake lines,6 shooter's,wave rotors,etc(141hp w/o N2O!)

Do some trackdays. The bike won't be faster but you will be so in the twisties you gain a big advantage over the liter bikes or busas. You might be far enough ahead that they can't catch you on the straights. More HP's means nothing vs. technique and skills. A monkey can be trained to ride straight and fast.

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me."
there is also the option of a quickshifter , but i think your best bet is to not waste money modifying .either upgrade to a 1k like gsxr or zx10r like audi said . or just find a way to make up time in the turns where you should have the advantage. like youd man said. track time could help
