Hi peeps,

just thought id show you a few pics of my project bike and see what the gsxr community think of the retro machines..

The first pic is what it started life as:

since then i have fitted some modification:

RENTHAL CHAIN AND SPROCKETS 15T FRONT 47T REAR

FRONT 6 POT HAYABUSA CALIPERS

TL1000R 6 INCH WIDE REAR WHEEL

ZX12R FITMENT 200/50/17 DIABLO CORSA 3 REAR TYRE.

REFURBISHED REAR SPRING AND SHOCK( RED SPRING )

25MM REAR JACK UP KIT

A16 STUBBY CAN WITH HEAT WRAPPED EXHAUST

K&N FILTER

DYNO JETTED CARBS TO SUIT CAN AND FILTER

MINI INDICATORS FRONT AND REAR SAME TYPE

BAGLUX TANK COVER AND TANK BAG

FULLY SERVICED INCLUDING 10-40 SEMI- SYNTH AND PLUGS

Also i have removed some crap

REAR HUGGER

TRIMMED REAR UNDERTRAY

REMOVED OLD CHAIN AND SPROCKETS(TIGHT SPOT)

FRONT CALIPERS 4POT TYPE WERE SIEZED

FRONT DISCS WERE PITTED

REMOVED THE REDICULOUSLY OVERSIZED INDICATORS

PLUGS AND FILTERS REPLACED

The previous owner had left her in his garden to rot in typical english weather for a couple of years, but it had full service history so i could see some potential.

what do you think of the bike and is there any further suggestions for improvement.

im thinking of fitting next

K3 GSXR 1000 FRONT FORKS WITH YOLKS AND STEERING DAMPER

WAVY FRONT AND REAR DISCS

A SIMILAR IN COLURE FRONT WHEEL AND CORSA 3 TYRE

LEVERS OF SOME STUBBY TYPE VERIETY tbc

12 AUX SOCKET ( FOR THE TOMTOM) AND SOME NEW GRIPS

Please excuse any nievity for the modifications as this is the first project bike iv done, the bike leans in and corners very well indeed and feels far more stable in the corners compared to the original setup. Dont get me wrong it is a road bike and enjoys as much for looks as i do for ridability. but it feels great to ride and is very confedence inspiring.

thanks for looking mike p:thumbup:

Looks like you've done a pretty good job of bringing it back to life. Thanks for saving it.
