That's the little boy we help out down here. As someone who has worked in non-profit volunteer work since I was 15, I think it's AWESOME what you're doing here. I've helped out three little boys, and here are they're stories...
Freddy Place; Rare genetic disease. We raised money to help pay off his medical bills and to have a good Christmas for his family. He passed away early spring, 1999.
Matthew Clattenburg; Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Most little kids who have this die within 4 days of being born. Matt will be celebrating his 12th birthday in August. He probably won't make it much longer because hie heart is giving out the taller he gets, and it's failing, but he has had a wonderful life, and through the work of out non-profit, we were able to help his mom get out of a rusty old Suzuki, and get a new Kia (not a hug step up, but a lot more reliable for his trips from New Hampshire to Boston for medical treatments). My mom also worked with Matt, and taught him his alphabet and how to count, and I spent many hours getting my butt wooped by him on PS2 (that kid is GOOD!!!)
Payton; Payton has Spinal Muscular Atrophy. He can't sit up, smile, cry, run, laugh, play, or do anything kids his age do. His mom is truly an angel, and she has founded Payton's Pals, which is working with the University in Southern FL to find a cure for SMA. Their benefit last June raised over $80,000.00 towards finding a cure for this crippling disease so that another mom doesn't have to go through the heartache that Payton's mom has been through. She's done amazing things for the monetary funds for this, and immeasurable work towards raising awareness.
Do you have a paypal account? I'd like to donate some money towards the fund you have going to raise money for the little boy.
