Sounds pretty cool. I went to Jamaica a couple years ago. Although pot is illegal there, it's everywhere. It's a way of life, so they just don't walk down the road doing it.. but there's no such thing as going there and not being able to find it. It will find you. I had a bag before I even got to the resort.

yeah, when I go down to jamaica in a few weeks I'll probably be hooking up the rest of the people in the resort. You can buy it out of the local corner store if your a local. It only costs $1 cad to get the equivently of $20 worth here. I'll make a killing

you can get whatever down there. the area is so poor they really don't care. i was smokin in front of cops, they don't mind. just be careful goin out at night, i wouldn't really recommend it.

i'm down to hit mexico anytime. legal herb/white? how cool is that!

seriously they're so poor they'll tell you a price, but you can pretty much just give them whatever. I felt bad for them though so i was handing out dollars to any kids that walked up

you think they're poor but trust me, they got much better and newer cars than you. As I said to sell to a local its only equivent to a $1 because there is so much supply there. You tell them $10 their happy, you just gave them 10 sales at once and think you got away with something.

If your white they may have given you a break, because they know your a tourist. I'm jamaican, that shit wont fly with me. It is illegal, cops will leave you alone unless you soliciting to tourists. They usually look the other way but if you do it their face, it a sign of disrespect, you at least have to make an attempt to hide it to show respect for their authority.

yeah i did see a bunch of fat cars when i was in ocho rios, lancers, hondas etc. IDK i guess cause we were at Marley's house the cops didn't care at all. there were a bunch of us smokin and the cops were gettin in for pictures and everything, it was wild. All the guys that were tryin to sell us hash, coke, mushy's whatever were doin that right in front of the cops too and they didn't even say anything, all they did was gate them off so they couldn't come into the complex. you could just walk right up and get whatever. We were only there for a day though so we just got some green n chilled on that all day.

i didn't mean any disrespect by my poor comment. All the parents/older adults that were there were tellin us that n i was not in my element so i took it for more truth than it is. The city was beautiful, even more so goin up through the hills to Bob's house, i guess the poorer individuals are run out of the city where most of the tourists would be. Yeah and everyone in my group was white so that might have played a role as well.

Don't get me wrong, there is extreme poverty in jamaica, but the tourist wont see it. Its usually on the outskirts of the major towns. It is very easy to buy police and politicans down there so the sellers usually have the police on lock.

They had some crazy evo 8's the last time I was down in '03. Shit we can't even get an evo in canada.

I did see that as i left ocho rios for the 2 hour ride to Bob's house. Along the way a couple evo's were tailin us and took off around us. Saw a couple more when we got back to town later on parked, got a few pics of them.

you guys can't get the evo's sold in the US in Canada?

Nope, Mitsubushi is new to Canada. They only came here a few years ago. The weren't aloud to sell here for some reason. Dodges and mitsubushi's were the same car except for the emblems.

Eagel Talon = older eclipse
Dodge colt = older lancer

Still no evo's

Majority of their cars come straight from Japan so not even north america has some of the cars they got. I seen the sickest camary's down there. They were comparable to benz, lexus. I believe it was called a camery prestige.

they have Levin's in jamaica i saw those like civic's there!

couple of JDM type R's and some other cars they don't even sell in north america

I went to Jamaica in 2000. I went on a missions trip to Kingston. We stayed with missionaries in a nice house in the Mountains. The city of Kingston doesn't even seem like it's on the same island as Ocho Rios. It's like night and day. More crime, poverty, and the like in Kingston than anywhere in America. It was impossible to get ganj in the areas we went. Yes, I was actually trying to cop on a missions trip. But as soon as we hit Ocho Rios on our day off that shit was everywhere. It's cool when you can barter the price of a hand carved Ironwood pipe then barter the price of the herb that your tokin in it. Gotta say for as desolate as the area we were in was the people were absolutely great. Nicest people in the Carribean if you ask me.

Actually your lucky you came back alive, no joke. A girl went to high school with was murdered in kingston when she went on vacation. She was shot point blank in her head.

With all this talk of Jamaica I booked my ticket! I'm leaving in 2 1/2 weeks!
