Police say a 19-year-old car driver intentionally ran into a father and young son riding a motorcycle.

Police arrested Jacob Hyneman, of Kent, Washington, in the incident. Officials said Hyneman was driving in Lakewood, Washington, when he got into an argument with his girlfriend, who was a passenger in the car. The girlfriend allegedly pointed at a motorcycle ridden by Pat Doyle and his 8-year-old son, Alex, and made some comment about her ex-boyfriend, and wondered if that were him on the bike.

Hyneman allegedly became enraged, ran a red light and intentionally hit the motorcycle, then sped off. Doyle and his son apparently weren't seriously hurt, although Pat reportedly doesn't remember anything about the crash.

The case remained unsolved for several days until the girlfriend reported the incident to police. Hyneman was charged with vehicular assault and failure to stay at the scene of an injury accident.

The AMA will be following this case as part of our Justice for All program, which hopes to get new laws passed in all 50 states to get appropriate penalties for those who kill or injure others on the road, whether the victim is a motorcyclist, bicyclist, pedestrian, or another. The program also seeks to include motorcyclist-awareness instruction in each state's driver-education program.

Look at the one in daytona beach area over bike week, the bitch backed up at a light and hit the woman on the bike and then ran over her again.

The female biker was dead at the scene, Her Bf beat the hell out of the woman who ran over his GF and killed her.

we're putting together a ride to the guys trial(if it goes to trial)to show support for the rider and his family, and to show the court this shit is serious. we also have other awarness rides planned so that the dickhead drivers up here know they need to lookout for us bikers.

Hell yeah it's sickening. I would have been in jail and that woman would have been six feet under too. Actually it would have been me if that would have been the case because in traffic I would have been either on the side of my girl or in front probably but who knows. HEY here is a thought to convay to the AMA and those that will be at the trial, this is a HATE CRIME, and should be be tried as one, his hate for a biker he intentially hits and runs from leaving him and his son for dead, did not know he did not kill the 2 on the bike yet he speed away as if he did and knew he did this should be a 2 count hate crime and 2 counts of each other charge too 1 for each person injured as well as charged with child endangerment and abuse too. See convey this in picket signs at this MORONS TRIAL/ARRAINMENT.

i agree, there is speculation he will only get a slap on the wrist and get this, "Anger Management" WTF? anger management, are you kidding me, that's why we dicided to go to this fuckers trial.of course his lawyer says it wasn't his fault. it was the gf's fault, she pissed him off. so of course it wasn't his fault then. You know you guy's I think that the reason that shit like this did not happen 10 years ago is that "Drivers" were scared to death of a motorcyclist .....you know the old way's that if you fucked with one of us you were fucking with a whole family!

I mean I know that times have changed and all these new generations of youngsters are a new "Breed" to deal with.....this kind of shit just makes me think damn these drivers in autos out there have no fucking respect for us and just drive like they are the only ones on the road!! I know that back in the day the guy's in biker gangs where actually pretty cool nice family type dudes...but they had that "Reputation" that drivers out there respected........My hubby and I have decided that riding solo can be VERY dangerous...we try to always go out together or have atleast another couple people to ride with.,.....Strength in numbers and "Respect" as well......An accident by a fellow driver in an auto is one thing but this "Hate" shit is fucking BS :2hard ...I say we brake more mirrors!!!!

He is lucky he wasn't down here in the South. He would get some good ol' fashioned southern justice on his ass. We would go to his house and drag him out in his front yard and give him a whoopin'. Breaking mirrors only gets you in trouble. Get the boys and follow him around until he stops then throw him a beating.

Well whatever we do it has to be something with the things I have read and heard about in the last few months it is not like the "Cop's" (the 911 call) have our back about most things.....the attitude coming from the politicians...I mean NM just tried to make it mandatory that if you have a motorcycle endorsement on your Driver's L than you have to automatically be an organ donor. I mean I have a NM DL.....and I am an organ donor...but to make it mandatory is like just saying "Well you ride a bike ...so you are already dead to us" ....Instead of being proactive and trying to get drivers aware of us motorcyclists it seems to be going to the other way....and ya'll know it is NOT in our favor!

ya, this shit that "they ride wheelies down the highway, so they don't care about anything" mentality has to stop. just because the sportbike scene is BLOWING UP right now, and people see this stuff on the news. this doesn't mean we should be treated like shit. we like to have fun and last time i checked........THAT was not against the law.some due ride wheelies down the freeways, but not all. some don't care, but most do. i think pretty soon things with bikers and cars are going to be like the "old" days, and let me tell ya; i'm here to stay.

It makes me sick to hear about a person intentionally hitting a motorcyclist, and in this case because he was fighting with his girlfriend and she mentioned her ex had a bike and wandered if that was him. If my son or daughter was on my bike and someone hit me intentioanally I would make sure they never drove or walked again.

Wicked-1 if there is a trial let me know if you are going to organize a ride up there. I live in southern Oregon and will return from overseas soon and would love to go up and show my support.

I can see how people get backed into! I was in Charleston on Market st. last yr. and my lady was on the back of my bike. We was behind a truck to get paid parking. The truck decided after 4 or 5 mins to back up in traffic! So, I started backing up but couldn't back fast enough....man i looked like Fredd Flintstone...lol. Anyways hid bumper started to rub my front farring and I laid on the horn, he kept coming so I started to rev limit my bike and he slammed on brakes! My girl was smart she jumped off and ran...lol. I wasn't going to let my baby hit the ground so I stood my ground (temp. insanity...lol) The guy jumped out of the truck. I told him to get back in before I killed him, so he jumped back in and waited untill i moved out of the way.

I was ready to go to jail....my girl gave me that look....

U better be good Blue.....lol. Well after we just go pissy drunk and enjoyed the night.

Gotta love how they thow in the fact of the helmet... I realize that they save lives but when a truck runs over you would it matter? Come on, Just another way to show that to the world, motorcycle riders are irresposable (sp?).
