rev 4k .. riding .. in 2nd gear

cluth in .. rev to 6k .. dump clutch ..

do that going up 1k at a time until you reach where you feel comfortable ..

we cant say just rev to 4k .. clutch in rev to 10 and dump it ... its diff for every rider / setup ...

find your own sweet spot

1st gear wheelies just have WAY high chance to loop .. and then hard to hold up if your new .. due to the engine brakeing (compression) soon as yo ulet off throttle .. you set it down fast / hard .. and can blow seals fast / frequently ...

2nd gear bounce up / clutch up .. are the best ....

bounce up requires speed
clutch up requires nothing

... also for better stability ... try letting out 10psi in your rear tire .. .. dont let out so much that its sloppy .. but enuff that you have more contact with the ground

you can get it up with power, it just is sloppy unless you have really good throttle control.

Dude my 04 600 was bone stock n I got it up in first gear powering. I'm not a small dude either. I would just gun it from a dead stop to about 6k then release throttle n just open up n up it came

you can bounce 2nd that way .. do this .. dont worry about RPM as much ...

WARNING YOU CAN GET HURT ... but this is how i do it

go in 2nd gear .... go about 55mph .. so 2nd should be high rpm at this point ...

-stand up ..
-lock knees
-LEAN over front a hair
-romp the throttle (will NOT wheelie at this point)
-cut the throttle COMPLETELY (front will go down / forks will compress) YOU ARE STILL BENT OVER
-ON THE WAY BACK UP FROM THE FORKS DECOMPRESSING ... roll the throttle.. YOU WILL go into a vertical standup ... be easy .. hover rear brake (so you dont pass balance point) ...

easy / smooth / looks amazing ....

WARNING YOU CAN GET HURT !

1st gear wheelies are for morons ... learning in 1st is a death trap ! its for stunters .. oversize sprockets / slow mph

DO NOT LEARN HOW TO WHEELIE IN 1st GEAR POWERING IT UP ! YOU WILL LOOK LIKE A IDIOT .. BOUNCING THE FRONT WHEEL UP 12"'s for a few seconds AND SLAMMING IT ON THE FCKING GROUND !

ask questions .. train it properly .. when you master clutch ups .. then work on other things ... ask anything you want

Messing around ill pop the front wheel up in first power wheelie ... Never had a problem. And you only bust fork seals if your retarded and let the bike fall.

its horrible .. horrible... how many fork seals / rear tails (passing balance point) are being replaced due to people not doing it properly ... 1st gear just has to much torque / engine brake to LEARN on ...

once you been riding enuff / wheelie enuff .. go for it .. its perfectly fine .. just harder to get used to it .. and hold it up in 1st .. not to mention .. running out of RPM's and having to do the hard 1st - 2nd shift ... 80% of the time drops the front wheel

you can clutch up 2nd gear ... same process .. just sit down ..

ride to 4k rpm .. clutch in .. rev up 1k .. dump clutch .. it wont go up .. but go up 1k rpm each time till you feel comfortable .. best way to learn ... 2nd gear wheelie .. you can hold for a decent amount of time .. safely .. and look awsome .. wont run out of RPM (need to shift) .. for quite some time

I am only able to clutch/power first because my clutch is on its way out. (Which is why I don't do wheelies often at all) If I had a stronger clutch I would have began to learn in 2nd.

When I first started 1st gear power I would twitch the throttle, and as soon as it came up I would let her down, and progress higher.
