Does anyone know if there is there any difference in these motors? I'm currently looking to do the 7/11 swap in my 86 and was wondering if any of you oldschoolers had any info.
Aside from the obvious that some were water cooled and some oil cooled. Really major difference was CCs, cylinder head, and cam. I believe you can even put a bandit 1200 motor in the 86 frame because pretty much all the oil cooled fit the same.
I helped a buddy put a 92 1127 in his 86 750. It fit but getting the motor in the frame was a challenge. They are taller.

Will my Mikuni carbs off the 750 fit the 11? Anyone have any suggestions of what I should upgrade to. 1100, 1127,1216,1052,1098,1200....so many choices
Your bike is oil cool as you can see you don't have a radiator, but you will need to either do more research or pay someone to do the job for you.
Put a 1100 motor or liter size motor is possible but you need all parts.
You should look for a 88-91 gsxr 1100 motor OIL cooled

depending on what u are wantin to do to the bike, but i would pic me up a 89-92 1127 motor and u can bore it out to a 1186 or 1216, 1216 is the biggest u can go on a stock block tho, those 1127 are bullet proof and love nitrous also bro, i have a 93 gixxer1100 with a 1198 kit and i have been sprayin for yrs with no problems
