I agree and I haven't yet set the suspension properly for my weight and riding style. A few tasteful mods are adding a lot of extra coolness also. Puig dark smoke screen, Ivan's TRE, sliders, electic vest, alarm and these georgeous black on black Pazzo levers are coming in the next week or two. Galfer has a new set of rotors coming out that will be next.

its probably the best performance wise but the headlight and tail section arent the best look they have came out with.

Will do. I usually do a step by step pictorial, but failed to for the screen. Just a warning that you must unplug the signals behind the instrument cluster to change the screen. Took me a bit to figure that out. I'll get back with the pictures when the Pazzo levers get here.

To be honest, I don't even know if they'll have a street bike application. They look pretty cool though, and will be on my shopping list if they are. So far all the site say's is " Superbike Rotors".

I have the Pazzo's in my hot little hand now. Must break out the tool kit. Ivan's TRE needs to go in also. . .

I've been told you can make them yourself. Being an electrical idiot, I bought mine. I'll definitly write up a performance review.

Initially one thing that's bothersome about the TRE, is your gear indicator will alway show [5] unless you're in neutral. Not a big deal, but a niggly thing non the less.

I've got the Pazzos (black w/gold shorty), Galfer Superbike lines, Galfer 1375 pads, Corbin seat, full Yosh TRC SS system, BMC Race filter, -1tooth front sprocket, Puig smoke double bubble, PC III USB with a custom map (166.2 rwhp) and the first set of bars that Heli Modified made for the '05 1K(hey, I'm 55 and the stock bars are a bit too low for old guys). Next up? BST wheels and a bunch of track days this summer. This thing ROCKS!

I got mine on April 1st (05) all my buddies thought it was an April Fool's joke when I told them. When they all saw it they couldn't believe how much was different. All love the blinkers in the mirrors and tail. I've got no complaints (looks or performance). Most of my mods will be done this spring - so far it's modest but looking forward to toys!!

I installed a home made one on my friends 2004 gsx-r 600 and there was a very slight difference but still you notice it if you know the bike. It helped for the 0-3000rpm range with the nothing then burst. Now it is nothing then smoothly goes into burst instead of a jerk. Also slowing down is like in sixth gear slowing down, smooth. Once again instead of a jerk.

It is the best bike. Like the kman even stock as a rock is pretty nasty. I'm still tryin to put pics up. I gotta a k6 1000 grey and black. Chics luv it. The only mod bar the stock can ( sorry i was one of the few or many who didn't like it) is a power commander. Obviously an air filter to suit but for road riding it's the best one out there. Hell you can even skim a few clicks with a circuit breaker on the speedo. I didn't say that.

This bike is the best bike I have ever ridden, I thought the 01 I had would be faster, this bike is 5x the animal...and so easy to ride....handling is better than any other.....for the money....the bike is phenominal...I love it!

I'd say that's a good deal. Skip the R1. If you got it you'd wonder... the right decision? Get yourself the Gixxer and be sure...THE RIGHT DECISION!

The R1 is a three year old design with cosmetic updates.
The Gixxer is the way to go. I was thinking of buying the 06 Honda CBR1K. I did the compare`O` and picked the Gixxer.
It`s the right bike. Don`t just take my word.
Read last years and this years liter bike shoot-out results.
The Gixxer has won 05/06 back to back, even with the others doing major re-designs. GSXR or bust.

This bike is the best I believe. I even reajusted the stock suspension and this thing clings to the road, no twiching,no head shake, no tires slide nothing just give it gas and hang on. The motor loves mods like a baby loves mother milk and this thing screams and becomes a animal at high RPMs it scary, but yet you ca go down the freeway at 100 with one hand kicking back and your in total control AWESOME it's the best of the best.

I just got rid of my 05 CBR 1000RR, and will never look back....I rode the R1, and let me tell u, not because I own the bike, I've ridden them all, they all had flaws until this bike came out, it has everything!!! The only thing it doesn't have is the Ohlins that the ZX-10 had , but that bike needed it....The motor is perfected, more bottom end and midrange than Honda liter bikes(not the case a few years ago), and the sickest top end and handling out there....Suzuki perfected this bike....believe it!!!!

Yeah. I must agree with what you feel in your statements.
I also had a CBR1000RR only mine was an 04.
I looked to buy the updated 06 CBR but after all the info on the Gixxer I passed it up. I`m so happy I did.
The Honda is still over weight and under powered.
This bike works and is fun to ride.

I was riding this bike yesterday, the damn thing clutches up third with a mild slip of the clutch at like 55-60 MPH, like its second gear....sh*t is crazy fun to ride!!!!!

The other liter bikes feel like junk performance wise compared to this one....haha
