Question Is this a front end swap or what!?!?

ok correct me if I'm wrong but i thought the 00-03 GSX-r 600-1000
front-end fairing looks like this...

why is it that i keep running into people who have 2003 with front-end fairing look like this


i though that was a 2004?? is it easy to do the swap?

that is the 03-04 1000. It has a different body (everything) than the 600/750.

Question

oooooo so i would not be able to grab the the upper front fairing and head light and just bolt it up to my side fairings with out any modding?

probably not. that first pic is a 2001 600/750 or 01-02 1000
2nd pic is 03-04 1000 which isa different body style than the 01-03 600/750

yeah because from the sides they look about the same! it almost looks like the fairing around the head light can just bold up to the older fairing! it would take some small modding I'm sure it can be done.. not worth my time though..
