Default 2006 GSXR 600 Oil Weight/Type

I have an 06 gsxr 600 . I am looking to do an oil change on my bike. I live in Michigan and the humidity is usually high and riding temperature is between 60-90 degreed F. What weight oil should I use? I plan to use synthetic oil. Something that will last a long time. Any ideas? Thanks

10W-40. If you want quality, synthetic motorcycle oil check out Amsoil. I just did an oil change on a new-to-me K5 600. Oil selection basically comes down to personal preference, but I went with the Amsoil product. All tests and reviews that I have read seem to put the Amsoil on top. Decide for yourself. Good luck!
