Default New for 2013 GSXR 1000

It would seem there IS going to be a new 1000 for the 2013 model year.

I base this information on the fact that all NEW vehicles must be submitted to and pass emmisions testing by the EPA prior to release.

Here is a link to the EPA site and the "Annual Certification and Test Results and Data"

http://www.epa.gov/otaq/crttst.htm

It gives some information--but not much--but it would appear that Yes a NEW model is coming.

Every model that is being produced again for 2013 is on that list. It doesn't mean there are any revisions - if there is, it's just to meet EPA standards. Guess we'll have to see.

Anyone look at power out puts?
BMW S1000RR 142kW @ 12500 RPM (190.43 HP)
Ducati 848Evo 96kW @ 10000 RPM (128.74 HP)
Ducati 1199 Panigale 135kW @ 10750 RPM (181.03 HP)
Honda CBR1000RR 124.5kW @ 10500 RPM (166.96 HP)
--CBR600RR not listed--
Kawasaki ZX6R (ZX636E - NEW 636?) 96.4kW @ 13500 RPM (129.27 HP)
Kawasaki ZX10R 132kW @ 11000 RPM (177.01 HP)
MV Augusta F3 675 94.2kW @ 14400RPM (126.32 HP)
Suzuki GSXR 600/750 89kW @ 12400 RPM (119.35 HP)
Suzuki GSXR 1000 136kW @ 11000 RPM (182.38 HP) -------------------- 2nd in power, Behind the S1000RR, in front of the Duc
Triumph Daytona 675 92.2 kW @ 12600 RPM (123.64 HP)
Triumph Daytona 675R 94.2kW @ 12500 RPM (126.32 HP)
Yamaha R1 129.4kW @ 11500 RPM (173.53 HP)

P.S. - you're welcome for the HP conversions.

129 HP is pretty stout for a 600.

Agreed, that's definitely middle weight power.
More then the F3 675, Daytona 675/675R & 848 Evo.
It says it's 636cc and the EDV model is ZX636E.

Burn gsxr 600/750 produce the same amount of power? That's pretty lame . What the hell is Suzuki thinking .....

I highly doubt theyre making equal power. That's just how it was listed on the chart. I'm sure they ran one through emissions and put the data down for both.

Anyone ever come across the Suzuki V4 patent?

I would love to see Suzuki bring the V4 to the street bikes.

Following Suzuki's refresh cycles, since forever, there won't be a new model 1000 for 2013. There will likely be a new 600/750 though.
