Default Single Sided Swingarm - 05 GSXR 1000

Sold my K4 600 and bought a K5 liter project.

Starting on my project bike once work slows down in a few weeks. Planning on boost, custom paint and a single sided swing arm.

I'm not really trying to spend 3-6k on a conversion kit to get a SSS though, especially when I can put that money towards paint and boost. I know some guys are doing Honda VFR conversions and whatnot. Does anyone have any info on a K5 or K6 liter that has been converted using OEM parts from stock SSS bikes?

Really any info at all would be appreciated.

Thanks guys, and expect a build thread soon!

I highly doubt you can just use stock parts. And even if you did, the bike would most likely handler like poo. You can use either a duc or vfr swing ARM, but your gonna need custom spacers and everything.

sent from toaster. yeah, toaster.

i guess they can do them pretty easily to 01-03 600's and 00-03 750's... how compatible is the k5 1000 swingarm compared to those years. and i doubt its gonna make it handle like poo if i can manage to modify the arm maintain the oem suspension geometry and wheelbase. if ducati's can outperform super bikes with a SSS it cant be that bad.
