havent started my 07 gsxr 600 in 5 years

i was able to start my bike up today. everything looks good considering i havent changed any fluids or added anything. Only thing i did was connect all the connectors since the front was badly damaged and jump started it with my car. The only thing that did not work is is the speedometer as nothing is on. the headlights turn on just fine. I wasnt able to check the side mirrors since i had to cut the wire off from the base of the side mirror. Can somone point me in the right direction on what to check next or is it simple a bad speedometer?

I'd start by checking the fuses under the seat. if those all check out, unplug the harness that connects the headlight/gauge cluster for any corrosion on the pins. If you see any - you can try to clean it out or try and replace the pin.
