07 gsxr 600 slow to start

I just bought a 07 600. Once it sits and get cold it takes a while to start up. It just spins and spins then fires up. Battery is full charge. I did a search. Couldn’t really find my problems.

Do you hear the fuel pump "prime" for about 3 seconds when you first turn the ignition key on with the kill switch in the "run" position?

Are the secondaries throttle plates still installed and working?

Yes fuel pump sounds normal. Plates opening. When key is turned on. After about 10-15 seconds of motor spinning. It will fire up and run.

How does the inside of the gas tank look and how does the fuel smell? Do you know was the bike sitting around a while not driven before you bought it ? I would pull the spark plugs and see how they look. Your bike also has a crank sensor I’d look up if you can clean it or how to test it.

^ Good thought.

Try fresh fuel and some fuel injector cleaner first.
