Need help getting my bike into dealer mode. I'm trying the paperclip method but my wires are completely different than all the other gsxr's and i believe its because they have a older models.

Thanks in advance for the help yall!

2009 I beleive should be behind the battery, make sure you have the correct harness correct color wires.my k6 1k has 2 harnesses simular behind the battery I could see someone confusing the 2 . Again check the wire colors you are connecting!

As I read the K9 service manual & wiring diagram, it has the same electrical connector as K3-K8 but, like K3-K4, only has four leads to the white six pin connector (that I think has a black cover over it). They are B/W, Gr, W/R, and O/W (O/G For E2, E19, or E24). To enter dealer mode, short W/R to B/W.

But buy a switch. You're fooling around with the ECM and a paper clip invites expensive problems. The switch is maybe $20.
