Hi guys
I'm still looking for an affordable engine and might considering to sleeve the engine....any good for a 1000k6? Life between maintenance..and worth it???
No one is able to replate my one
Don't know how expensive this would be.... I have seen a possible chance of mid low section for this engine but just the cases.
Do you already have an engine?
Is your engine already built?
Why did people tell you they couldn't fix yours?
Is this going in a K6 1000?
Have you looked on ebay?
Called millennium tech regarding cylinder repair/building?
KWS motorsports is also a good one for building engines.
Hi, on eBay almost no one gives me a compression reading and that's risk to buy junk, millennium told me they could not due it due that the block is also half of the upper crank housing...
All sport bike engines are designed the same and the block is always half of the upper crank housing. Either I'm not understanding what your question is or maybe they aren't. Did you call KWS? Ebay motors really should not be trusted but you said your desperate. Is your current engine built? What compression does it have? What engine are you looking to get. You really need to be detailed on here.
Hi again
I called and i got told by the company that they can not do my block, my engine has only the head done, compression is 9 bar so quite low and the plating in one barrel is coming of
130psi is very very low. If its the stock block, rings, and pistons, and there is no scoring on the cylinder walls then per Suzuki all you do is just drop new rings in it. If the Nikasil has been removed for one reason or another that's where a place like mil-tech comes into play.
KWS built our 06 GSXR 1000 engines without question years ago. A 170, 180, and 190 horse motor so im not sure why they wont touch yours.
Bore, rings, and pistons are not an option with them?
Your communication skills seem less than par and I wonder if that's part of the problem. This page from Millennium suggests that they should be able to do it. Or is the real problem that you're trying to do it on the cheap?
Do have a pic of the bad bore? It would have helped here and probably also with Millennium.
Rebuilding an engine can be pricey. There are many breakers in the US. This quy has had several K5/K6 engines in the past but I don't see anything right now. You might try contacting him.
