bike cut off while riding...

Its a 2006 Gsxr 600
only performance mod is a carbon exhaust, i believe micron

Ok so at first i would pull out my driveway be going about 8mph bike would cut off, the first time it happened i thought the kickstand had dropped, started it back up worked fine rode for quite a few miles.
Next day, same thing happens in driveway, i start to wonder now.
Then i get about 8 miles down the road. Im on a back road wind first gear out to 60mph and then boom the bike shuts off, check engine(f1 light) comes on and the screen reads check.

I flick the key on and off a few times the fuel pump does not engage i eventually get the fuel pump to cut on and the bike to start, get about 40 feet up the road it cuts off.
Call a buddy we trailer it home sit it in the driveway, come back in a 30 minutes, while bike was in neutral i started it revved probably to 12k 13k no problems pull forward just a little to see if it would cut off, it didnt. drove it down the street and bike rode perfectly fine like nothing ever happened..

any advice on what it could be?
ive heard something about a servo cable???

So your saying if the plunger isn't pushed in all the way it won't allow the pump to kick on?

It doesn't add a lot more power, just prevents the bike from restricting your exhaust at low rpm's. If you're in the mood to take things apart, go ahead and do it. It's quick and easy and you lose a couple of extra lbs that you don't really need. As for the bike cutting off, it's worth it to check the kick stand switch, just clean it up and then spray it with a hit of teflon spray wax or something so that it's lubricated. I had a problem with mine when I first got my bike cutting off, but I never got an F1 light. I dunno about that aspect of your problem.

gsxr shutting off while riding

I recently purchased a 2006 gsxr 600 and twice now the bike has shut off while I was riding it. First time I gave it a couple minutes and the bike fired up and was fine for a couple days. This second time the bike shut off, produced an FI and now will not start. When I turn the key the FI stays displayed. I'm going to attempt the dealer mode when I get time but has anyone else had this issue or know what it could be???

Start a new thread with your problem.

When you say it shows an "FI" do you mean the red light or an alternating "FI" in the temperature window?

Sounds like charging system or battery. Check your battery and charging system amps using a multi meter

Bypass the safety switch....if the problems stop, you have your culprit.

Start with the simple things first.

Recently happened to me. My bike came lowered raised it back up recently and flattened the kickstand a little since it was bent for the lower but same day we raised front up bike started cutting out on me, least 5 times on the way to Daytona, once on a curve at like 50mph not fun on the curve let me tell ya. but next day cut the kickstand wires twisted them together and zip tied the cable, no more turn offs.
