It is 100% a personal preference. Just put them wherever you feel comfortable. I usually push them out more than stock so I can counter steer easier. If you look at racers out there though there is no "best" way.

a clip-on with an angle like that (kawi) wouldn't work out too well on the k6/k7 model (that i know of). making u-turns with gloves on would be quite difficult because of the clearance. your fingers may touch the fairing. dont know if its the same with the k4/k5.

Someone does, I found them but they don't make them for the K6/K7 so I didn't bother to remember. I'll dig around later and see if I can find em. Not Vortex or Woodcraft, just checked.

Lightbulb

Renthal makes some adjustable clip-ons, as do others. They are all expensive.

They don't get much more adjustable than this: http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no=7662

They also make them without the risers.

You want them to be adjustable between 7-8 degrees or you want them to sit at 7 or 8 degrees? It sounds like you want to be able to adjust the drop angle to be at 7 degrees or 8 degrees, if so I'm not sure if that 1 degree will make much of a difference.

The newer Vortex clip-ons are 7 degrees, I like em. But as stated, not adjustable.

Dunno if I can agree with you on that one, but if you've been riding/racing long enough that you think you can tell the difference, more power to you hah.

Well, I've messed with stock, 10 degrees, and 7 degrees, I could tell a little difference in feel between the 10 and 7, I just don't think 1 degree difference will make that big of a difference unless you ride in some jacked up riding position, haha.
