Lately I’ve been considering doing a front end swap from the 2017 1000 to the 2017 750. I’ve searched around a little and emailed a few shops who claim to “specialize” in front end swaps but they were little to no help when it came to technical questions. I haven’t seen to find a definite answer to my questions. I want to do this but only in the event that its pretty much plug & play and it sits flush with the side fairings. Has anyone tackled this yet or have any insight?
I can't help with your question, but unless you happen to have a spare '17 1k front end around, what is the purpose?
If you had to buy the front end, my guess is it would be about the same money to have your forks done with better internals that would equal or exceed the OEM 1k forks. (Ohlins, Nitron, etc...)
Apologies for the late reply, I’ve been a bit busy lately. But I should’ve elaborated, I was referring to the front cowling when I said the front end, apologies!
