I just bought a 2002 GSXR 750. I want to modify the tail from old fat tail to a newer slimmer model tail. Anybody have any recommendations on what I should do? I also want to upgrade the gas tank because mine is missing it got stolen. Does anybody know what models and cc fit my 750?? Its some work I got myself into. Learning how to be a motorcycle custom mechanic is some work!!!

I have seen people switch the tail I’ve see people switch a complete plastic set say for a k1 to a k6 I’ve never done it but I know it can be done. The tail I would think is a easy mod since no other plastic bolt or connects to it, even the tank I’d bet bolts right on but the tank would be more trouble bc plastic connects to it the the real trouble from what I understand once you switch a section ex. Tail or tank is your seat won’t line up anymore. Unless you are switching the complete set from one year to another. On my 2000 750 I wanted a 04-05 headlamp pretty bad but after doing some research I pretty much needed to cut my side plastics and re drill holes or switch it all over. It seemed more trouble than it was worth and I never got to it before I sold it.
