I'm still around lurking. I spend a lot of time on the s1000rr forum looking up info and checking out experiences with the 15rr.

I got the red and white one. I got wc sliders too. Love my rg case savers.

I gotta admit I miss the hell outta my 600. Can't wait to see your bike on track.

Question tho? What insurance company you have. I don't even wanna think about it but I gotta make sure I got coverage when I'm on the track. My perpetration can only stretch so far. Feel me

I had progressive they paid me well. Even got $3100 for accessories after I bought the bike back.

Don't have insurance on the 750 now but will look into it come spring.

Make sure you have helicopter insurance and only use the sliders for transporting. I see way more damage when people use them on the track.

You ain't havin fun if you ain't gettin loose.

Wait what is helicopter insurance?

And you mean take them off when I'm riding the track?

Its like $50 a year. Get it. A lot of tracks SOP is to air lift you to the hospital if you were unconscious. A friend of mine's son crashed at CMP and was air lifted.. cost them 28k out of pocket.

Thanks JS the scorpion sounds Better than the M4 so I'm happy with it. I actually bought two of the same exhaust really cheap on eBay.

I seen that same exhaust on eBay before I got my M4. I almost bought it but I liked how short the M4 was.

You got the street slayer right? The GP has the cat that makes it suck IMO. I have the GP on my ninja and it sounds sick...not so much on the 750

Yeah it's the street slayer. I like the looks of the GP but having the cat would suck. Definitely sucks you had to find out it wouldn't work with your race plastics. I guess it worked out cause that Scorpion fits your bike good. The colors on the can go great with your wheels and brake lines.

Sucks for sure. I sold the M4 today so that's good. Funny you mention the colors, I am taking that tape off the wheels, I got some blue for them, and I was just thinking how the accents I went with before the crash all matched the gray and silver so well but now not so much.

Update.

Trying to deal with people via email is the most frustrating thing in the world. Either they completely don't understand what I'm writing ( with pics) or they just don't care.

I'm going to try one last time before I call PayPal and ask them to get involved.

Long story short, don't buy a fairing kit from a company with an NO customer service.

First of all, I specifically asked about exhaust fitment, they told me NO ISSUES, the the oem one would fit...they were very wrong. Even after I sent them pics of my M4 and the stock exhaust they still tell me it will fit or that I must have a CA spec bike....incompetence.

Next, the superbike tail has no brace, so I cannot mount it until I fabricate one or else it will break when I sit on it.

Lastly, the full tank cover and the tail share a mounting point which is ridiculous. I would have to use one long bolt to mount both pieces together.

I explained all these things with pics and they replied, we'll give you $50 and an oem tank cover. Then AGAIN they told me that the kit fits the oem exhaust!!! It's like they don't read anything or look at the pics cuz they just don't get it. I asked for $150 and the tank cover. Being that I had to buy a new exhaust now, I have to fabricate a brace, and the tank cover doesn't fit I don't think I'm asking for too much. They countered with $75 and no tank cover.

Yea me too, only about OEM replacements never read anything about race fairings. I should have listened to my boy who told me "what if you have a problem, there's no customer service with a company in China".

I agree with your boy. Sometimes you get what you pay for. It might have been easier to just get a dremel and modify the belly pan. I had to slightly modify a couple things on my hotbodies fairings that I most likely wouldn't have had to do with higher quality fairings.

Regardless, it sucks you have to deal with the crap customer service.

Yea he seems to know a lot about everything, I told him I will now consult him before I buy anything.

I didn't pay much for the M4 or the new scorpion so I don't mind. I am just upset that I sent multiple pics with my email and they only addressed one issue with a reply that is absurd. The oem exhaust will fit!!!! After I explained the smaller M4 doesn't fit. Very frustrating to read that!

My boy had to modify his Armour Bodies also so I'm convinced they all need some type of modification to fit. I do know however that all other kits come with braces for the superbike tail. Also if you ask another company about fitment issues before You buy you will get a correct response, or we aren't sure about all so buy at your own risk. Not No Issues with this model.

Damn man, sucks you gotta go through all that. Never a good feeling when a manufacturer doesn't want to fix their F ups. The experience your having is definitely not good for their business, guaranty no one on this forum will buy their race fairings. It's a shame to cause the paint and grafics look good.

Jimmy the saddest part of this whole thing is that I told them " I'm giving you the opportunity to fix these issues before I go on the forums and tell EVERYONE about my experience with your race fairings"
They apparently have no interest in making it right so I'm letting people know.

Oh well man... As much as it sux just give them a bad review and take the $75 and make a brace. When I got my superbike tail for my zx10 it didn't have one and I just made a X brace with some thick aluminum pieces and it worked out well for me and I'm 220. It sux these companies take our money but then have a problem with communication when the time comes. My motto is unless it is your race bike you can always find cheap used decent race bodywork online.

You ain't havin fun if you ain't gettin loose.

Yea I had a brace idea already, but yours sounds better. Still it's the principal behind the whole thing. I will gladly accept the $75 and tank cover but now they are trying to get out of sending the tank cover when they offered it initially. Can't wait til this is over!!!

Not the belly pan, the sides of the upper he said needed to be trimmed a bit to fit right.

My armour Bodies mounted right up too. Only thing I had to Dremel was by where kickstand is bc it kept hitting belly pan. But that was easy fix. Everything was money.

You fellas did the right thing buying that kit and having it painted. I'm gonna have to remove my kickstand, or cut the sh** out of my belly pan to make that part work.

I think all race belly pans require modification for kick stand or just remove it, considering racers don't have them. My buddy has SharkSkinz and his kick stand couldn't stay on without cutting the belly pan, he just removed it and used a front wheel chock at the track. They're pretty cool, you just push the front wheel into it and it locks the bike in and holds it up.

I just use a rear stand at the track. You could also use a jack stand under one peg. Free.

Shit I've even been known to use a pole and lean the bike against it. I'd even lean it against my truck if I had to!

Ok.... yes withdraw is setting in. Carry on

I need to perfect getting on and off my bike without a kickstand. I get nervous about dropping it.

I just lay mine down on the ground

The rear stand works fine. I just leave it right behind the bike when I go out for a session. When I pull in I back the rear tire to the stand, get off, hold the seat or tail to keep it stable and put the stand on. It helps to have someone near the front the first couple times until you get a hang of it, but its really not hard at all.

Chill NY, just take what they offer and go from there. It's part of building stuff. You have to learn to overcome the obstacles. Nothing will ever go smooth and fit perfect. There will more then likely be modifications to make stuff fit. Sometimes you get lucky and stuff does fit right and other times you have to make it fit. It's frustrating but that's just how it is sometimes..

Hurry up though, I want to see it done.. Lol
