Question 2015 GSX-R1000 L5 Mounting Point on the Frame?

I just bought a 2015 GSX-R1000 this past Friday. The previous owner had the rear lowered. As I was raising it back to stock height, I noticed two extra (empty) holes where the rear dogbone (rear cushion lever rod) mounts to the frame. They are only on one side of the bracket per the diagrams and as seen on the bike, so they are obviously not an adjustment point for the suspension.

What are these for?

^ What he said. I just looked at my stock K6 750 and it has a bracket to support the OEM exhaust bolted to it.

Also, you can see the exhaust in the picture. It runs under this bracket. The holes would be up top, higher than the frame...

I'm guessing that the frames are for multiple style bikes?
