Farside420

Year: 2004
Model: Gsx-r
Eng size: 750cc
Pipe: Rls Shorty
Seat: Stock
Wheels: Stock
Accessories/other mods: protekk lowering links/fender eliminator kit..besides that shes stock and clean

And the story: I saw this bike almost a year ago for sale at a harley dealer. I was going to head up and buy it, but it began to snow and i could not make it up there to buy it. Safe to say someone else purchased it and it was gone....or so i thought. Instead of buying 2 wheels i decided to be smart and do the right thing and buy an engagement ring for my fiance. So the money for the bike was gone but the misses was happy so its a win. Fast forward almost a year later about month ago, ive been searching ebay, craigslist, cycletrader everyday since and one night, when i was done searching, i glanced on ebay and saw my unicorn..It was the same bike i thought i lost almost a year ago..The guy only put 100miles on it which turned the odometer to a very low 5500miles. Safe to say, i saw it, i bought it and got it delivered to my house and shes been mine ever since..i love everything about it (power, delivery, smoothness of the ride)...I could not be happier with my "ebay purchase" ..haha..there is not a crack, scratch or ding on this bike and i have cleaned and waxed it since i bought it... i try to keep it clean and take care of it so she takes care of me...

Pics for clicks

July 2016 Bike of the Month Voting Thread

Gixxer996

OK I'll try again today...

not going thru the whole story...

05

Gsxr600

D&D can

mods: polished frame and rear wheel, lowered, LED light kit, HIDs, shorty levers, bar end mirror, grips, TRE, double bubble tinted windscreen, Core red S/S brake lines, EBC hh pads, -1/+2 520 vortex kit, undertail, frame sliders/spools, and the all important rim tape and +5hp stickers I added.

story: I brought her pretty much stock with about 7k mile about 2 seasons ago after being hit on my previous bike. I was hit on 5/29/14 and laid up for 3 months but the whole time I was on the search for my next ride. So after the 3 months and basically learning to walk again I was ready for the next step, getting back to the streets but it was winter time so I grabbed her and put her up for the winter. The PO had a bunch of crap parts on her that had to go like the blade style levers and a chrome windscreen, just not my style so after making her mine, we have enjoyed piling on another 7k miles. There is still more I'd like to do with her but this is how she sits now:

Teen
Year: 2011
Model: Gsxr
Eng size: 600
Pipe: M4 CF street slayer
Seat: single w/ rear cowl
Wheels: stock
Accessories/other mods: Yoshimura frame sliders, case savers. Driven mirror block offs, bar ends, rear spools, Sprocket w/ EK chain. Zero Gravity Corsa wind screen. Woolich Racing log box V3. Zeitronix wideband o2 sensor. Ape chain tensioner. K&N air. Pair/ Set delete. Michelin PP3s.

And the story: Im entering july 2016 BOTM because i bought the bike in July 2011 so its been 5 years since ive had her. I bought the bike new. Walked into the dealer thinking i would purchase a used 250. sat on a zx6r and thought it was cool. sat on the gsxr and never looked back.

This is my first bike, rode it off the lot with 0 miles on the clock and she now sits at 37,000 miles. Ive done every bit of maintenance on this bike myself, including tire changes, clutch and just recently a valve adjustment. I find working on the bike just as enjoyable as riding it. I did the exhaust my self which is a custom fit. The pipe is for an '06 gsxr 600 so it took some fabrication but it came out pretty much how i envisioned. I love this bike to pieces and i feel like it loves me back.

looking to the future i want to do brake lines, pads and rotors this winter. My goal is to eventually track this and buy a busa with bags to do some road trips with.
