Hello from North East Texas

Just got my first GSX-R (2018 750 in blue) & came to this site to benefit from the boundless experience you have with GSX-R's. Just wanted to say hi!

fyi many years of experience riding everything from the Briggs & Straton bolted on a tube frame to KZ1000's being ridden for all they were worth grinding holes in the sides of the upswept mufflers. Make no mistake, I know this 750 is more of a beast than any of my KZ1000's and intend to treat it with the respect it deserves.

Welcome. Yes, the 750 is a surprisingly strong bike against the older 1k bikes. I have a 2007 Z1k also and it does not compare to the thrust of the 750.

Seems like pics I take with the phone upright turn sideways here.

But the ones I take with the phone sideways are right side up here.

The wonders of technology.

Oh yeah, just wanted to post up a couple more pics of my new baby!

Thanks Vader, I hunted hi & lo for it and found a deal with a little more than 25% off MSRP. I really like the blue & didn't want the Summer heat radiating off the black tank with the other color schemes.

I know some things about some things but I don't know jack about a whole lot more.

Haha smart, the black does get pretty hot if you don't park in the shade. Then again I'm a sucker for black bikes.
