68 year old thats never grown up.

Good morning all
As "they" say " growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional" so at 68 years old, I've tried to not grow up. My wife will say I've succeeded, but that's another story. I recently purchased a 2007 GSXR 750 to add to my stable and am in the process of repairing/replacing the most important items needed to make the bike road worthy. I look forward to the knowledge and experience of this forum to diagnose and correct problems I'm sure to run into as I get more familiar with the bike. Also look forward to riding in the mountains around the mountains of Durango, CO..

Welcome welcome welcome... All of you older gents make me feel much better about "the future"... I am 49, and all my friends, younger an older, keep giving me grief about still riding a sport bike. I tell them, while looking at their Shadows, and baggers, etc. that yes, they do look comfortable, and they do ride nice. I am just not ready to ride that slow, lol. Most get a little huffy about that comment, and try to state that their big bikes aren't slow, until I'm passing them like they are going backwards... I will be a very happy guy if I can still be doing it like that at 68...

Again, welcome to the forum...

Good on you for adding the 750 to the stable.

I just canít ever imaging myself on a cruiser. They look cool on Sons of Anarchy but thatís where it stops for me.

I'll be 46 in December but I'll more likely move to something like a VFR than a heavy cruiser at some point.

Welcome. Last summer at the age of 56 I stepped up to an L1 600 from a Ninja 250. Have fun and ride safe. I think the sport bike helps keep me young.

Hey OP,
I'd/we'd like to see pictures of that said bike. Pics, or it didn't happen LOL.

June 12th, damn that's soon; I'll be 59 years young.

Still enjoy the Sport Bike riding myself. As I've gotten older, I seem to get more towards the Sport bike/Super sport type bikes. Go figure.

Welcome to the Forum, a bunch of very knowledgeable gents/ladies on here.
