Hi!

I'm Mack from Blythewood, SC. Joined to learn more about my GSX-R. I just bought one that's been hidden in a barn for so long. It's a 1989 model but I know I can fix it with the help of this community.

Thanks!

Welcome, welcome. There aren't too many of the old carbureted ones here anymore. But, a few of us still have them, and know quite a bit about them. Please do post a few pictures of this beast. It doesn't have to be pretty for us, we appreciate them in any condition...

I ride a '95 GSXR-750W. I like them old and fast...

The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

Good questions.

As of now it doesn't start. I have a friend helping me but he's out of the country at the moment.

I have some photos in my phone. I'll put some here after I transfer them to my computer.

Will do. I just have to transfer some from my phone to my computer first.

Oh! One more thing before I forget. Do you guys use any hearing protection? I went for a weekend ride last week with my brother (I used on of his bikes) and I started having this weird ringing in my ears. He said I might have sensitive ears and might need a pair of plugs. Any suggestion on what brand to buy? I tried the generic ones but it hurt my ears.

On long rides I’ll use blue tooth earbuds . They are all made cheap and break I won’t buy the expensive ones. The longest battery life and loudest cheapest ones that found are onn at walmart 10-15$
