It varies greatly from dealer to dealer, which area are you in and which year are you looking for. Please post this information and hopefully somebody from here can give you an ballpark number.

He posted New York slash New Jersey, I don't know what rock you're living under but prices vary greatly between south jersey and Manhattan.

If you'd like to prove me wrong, be my guest, call four dealers about the same bike: one from Manhattan, one from Long Island, one from central NJ and one from south NJ, then post the facts.

You are right, I am sorry. I live in Manhattan but I am willing to travel to get the best deal so, if you have any advice on where is better to buy a Gsx-r and what would be a good otd price, it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Easy slugger. I have better things but thanks for the offer.

I dont know what rock you live under but NY and NJ arent far enough to stop most ppl from driving to the other to buy a vehicle. I bought my Jeep in NY and I live in NJ. Oh look at that he is welling to travel too.

Looks like the question was answered before it was asked. Dudes got like 5 posts and you wanna get all technical on him.

You can get a great deal if you spend the time to look for new old stock. Call every Zuk dealer you can find and see if they have a new 14 or 15 still in the crate. I bought a 10 a month after the 11 came out at a huge discount.

Five posts or fourteen thousand posts, essentially we are all here to help the OP and can only do so with all the facts in hand. Knowing which area he's in will help us not only make the correct dealership reccommendations but would also provide us with the information we need to give an accurate OTD price. Speaking of which, just because you have not seen an significant price variation between dealerships does not mean it doesn't exist. Dealership prices vary due to overhead, market conditions, volume, inventory, sales, maufacturer credits, etc. The point I was trying to arrive is that yes, people are willing to drive to get an deal, however knowing which specific area he is currently located in clearly makes a difference as proven by your recent Jeep purchase.

When I bought my '13 750 the sticker was $12,200 and there was a $500 Suzuki incentive.

I got the bike out the dealer door for $10,500 (includes doc, setup, and destination fees). Tax, Title, and Registration are in addition to this.

I was shopping $10k around but nobody wanted the deal.

Thanks for the info! I am thinking at 10k too. Where did you buy it? Was it in my same region? In case, could you please share the name of the dealer? Also, you said that you bought a '13 model, was it in 2013? I mean did you buy the latest model on the market or a previous year as suggested by Tinsnips? Thanks

Shite, sorry man, I didn't know I was in a regional forum.

I bot it late in '13 in the Boston area.

My strategy was shopping a price around through email. Don't waste a lot of time visiting the dealers. The ones that will deal with you will send a counter, the ones that don't will try to get you in the door and sell you that way.

Actually this is very helpful! In Italy if you don't meet the dealers in person they they don't even bother to reply to your questions/emails. What kind of questions did you ask in the emails and how did you negotiate the price by email? It would be great if you can paste an example.
Thanks again

IIRC, I started with the contact dealer on their website and basically said, "I'm shopping a price around for a new 2013 GSX-R750, $9900. Can you get close to that?"
That started the dialog. I did this for 5 dealers in my area and got two that came in at $10.5, one was ridiculous, and the other two said stop by. I did stop by one, Cycles128, but they wouldn't even match my best price so basically wasted my time.

Good luck and let us know how you make out.

I'm not in NY. I got a left over 13 model in 14 winter, 2013 gsxr 750 0 miles brand new on showroom floor for 8300 then tax title = 9k even.

Winter and leftovers together is by far the best bet.

In One of your post you were saying you were good with 10K.
if your putting a down payment and have good credit. tell them 10K
see if they counter. All they can say is no. I would just make sure I get an offordable monthly payment and low or decent interest rate. I will always try to get away puting noting down Be aggressive in dealing they want the sale plus its month end they need the sale to hit the numbers oh, and have them throw in a helmet and jacket even gloves

Good luck

Thanks guys! I actually tried with 11k cash yesterday and he said no. I have to admit I wasn't aggressive in the negotiation
