dont expect to get much of that 9k back...

...take a look around in your area, see what similiar models are selling for. you can think its worth whatever, and that wont mean jack shit if people arent paying what you think its worth. seeing as how you do have alot into it, and if it fits the bill of someone else's desire, id prolly say expect about 2k ontop of whatever relatively stock models are selling for.

Fuck the haters thats a nice lookin custom. Unfortunately customs are rarely worth anywhere near the money that has been investerd at resale because it's YOUR style. Many others won't be willing to pay what you want for it. I agree that your best bet is ebay, sell it with a reserve so if you don't get what you want you don't have to let it go. With that much exposure though you may be surprised at how much of it you actually get back, good luck.

see unfortunantly for you the more you "customize" your bike, the less its worth. the exception is if your do factory accessories. so by looking at your bike its probably worth a grand under market value. however like they said some people love custom stuff. but i wouldnt get my hopes up on selling it for anything over 5 grand at the most. for the most part custom bikes just arent worth much. to muhc individualization.

you can probably sell it for blue book. Like everything, custom parts are only worth something if you can find someone to pay for them. Its very difficult to find people that like all the custom parts on a custom bike. You would actually be better puting the bike back to stock (if you still have the parts), selling the bike, then "ebaying" the aftermarket parts. imo

Know your capabilities, then improve on them

for his level of modification it wouldnt be very cost efficient to do that.....how ever if you could snag a set of cheap factory color plastics that would help alot. i just know here in GA i look at the cycle trader and the custom bikes never ever sell. they are in there for months at prices like 4500-5000. guess people like thier standard stuff.

I just sold a car that i had put a lot of money into and i can tell you, that if you want to sell it a little higher than a stock one like 1-2k, it will happen, but it takes forever for the right person to come along. if you want to get rid of it right now sell it for close to stock.

I think you need to sell it at some kind of custom bike show or something like that where someone would appreciate the work that went into customizing it and you can get more for it then someone just looking for a "bike" to ride.......but if you have to get rid of it soon, you will have to take what you can get for it.............
