EBC EPFA brake pads

I just pulled out the EPFA pads on my 2000 750. These are supposed to be superior to the standard HH pad, but I found that the MUST have some heat in them to perform. Okay after a few corners into the canyon, but for an emergency stop after cruising down the road with no heat in them, they feel like wood. In their defense, they are touted as a track day pad, but claim good for the street also. I just pulled mine out and replaced them with worn out standard HH EBC pads, and feel at the lever is back. The EPFA pads have little initial bite, whereas the standard HH has a heavy initial bite that I prefer. I suppose for the track, their fade resistance may be a plus, but for a street pad, I don't like them. Will be replacing with standard HH again. Anybody else used the EPFA? Opinions?

I've been using the EPFA and like them but almost exclusively on track.
