street/drag build?

i have a 2006 gsxr 1000
has 7" stretch, front end strap, air shifter, lowered
the guy i bought it from said he ran high 9s in the 1/4 want to know if that could be true? i also want to know what else i should do the bike to run high 7s by next summer and still be able to ride everyday?

High 9s is very possible, but I'd actually say its slow for that bike with those mods. I suck at drag racing...bad and I can run high 9s on mine with SWB.

To drop 2 seconds its simple. A lot more HP. Your going to need power adders. FULL built motor and a lot of seat time, turbo or NOS.

2 seconds is a lot to drop on the strip. A lot of seat time, nitrous, or turbo, good suspension setup, good tires, etc..

im aiming for high 7s/low 8s with my k6 1k ... on a k03 pushing about 14lbs of boost

Run it first as is and see what kind of times you turn then go from there.
