Well this afternoon I was ridn, I got on it on a straight stretch. All of a sudden a pop, the chain was still moving with the sprockets but I had no power when I twisted the throttle. I pulled over, whats goin on now is the bike will not move. Ill have it in neutral, I shift gears and the only way of me knowing that its possibly not locked in neutral is because of the light. Before I start breaking it down, give me your ideas of what this possibly could be.

I'm thinking if you can't get any gears which it sounds like then one of the shafts broke. Countershaft or driveshaft. Seems hard to do unless.... see warnings in pictures. that bushing/bearing hole needs to be lined up so that oil will lube the the shaft. If not heat and failure. Could of slipped so that the holes wasn't lined up maybe. Whatever the case you'll find whatever the problem is and do your research to fix it right. I wouldn't trust just asking online. Get the manual. The picture is for the K6 1000

Hey check for wear on the gears to make sure you aren't putting worn gears back in. I was day dreaming about your nightmare and figured just possibly under load if the gears were worn enough to force them to jump and get tips to tips then the presure on the shaft would snap it. Anyway change the gears out if they have been clobbered.

If you are planning to change the oil too there might be clues in there. If the gears or clutch did bust up it might be best to change oil and filter to get rid of any floating around parts.

Good luck and have fun getting it done.
