Has anyone done this? my friend totalled his 08 the other day and I realized that the frame was identical. It looks as if I were to switch out subframes and the front fairing stay, everything should bolt up. Just curious..

I've thought about doing this as well. I want to try it. I belive if you changed out the headlight, air intakes, fairing stay, all plastics that it should work. I don't know why you'd have to change out the subframe. The rear on the 06/07 is pretty dang close to the 08/09.

I believe the subframe is wider and a bit different size then 06/07. I tried putting his seat on my bike and it was too wide..
