Hello, I just put a 1000 together after an accident. It is stupid powerful, but is surges (minor) under light throttle at around 4500-5000 RPM. Also, at idle, it sounds as thought the cylinders aren't quite working together. I was wondering if the throttle bodies can be sync'ed (like carbs) on the bike and if that may be the problem. Or perhaps this is normal on Suzuki bikes, since it is new to me and I am used to Honda CBR's. Thanks.

Yes they can be synced, and should be every time they are removed. The way to do it is bassically the same as carbs.

Which would be? Where are the nipples to hook the tubes up to? Is there a certain procedure? Do you sync all to cyl #3? Should a vac guage be used, can a liquid tube be used to balance them? Where is the adjustment?
