I just picked up a used 2002 gsxr 1000 It pulls great in 1 & 2, but in 3rd or higher gears there is a delay between 6k - 8.5k before it starts pulling ... It has a yoshi slip on that is the only mod to the bike. Does it need remapping on a dyno? The F1 light is on:infrandom

No, you have some sort of issue, likely TPS or STVA. Read the Tech FAQ section on putting the bike in dealer mode and retrieve the error code. The light indicates you have one.

Uhhhh well thats obviously your first problem. And no, you shouldnt need to map it just for a slip-on.
