I have a 2004 gsxr 600 with about 20000 miles on it. Today on my way to school at a redlight it would shut down. I would watch the tach and it would idle at 1000 and bounce around from 900 to 1000 then 1000 to 500 then shut off, but all electrical would be on. It did it at every red light the temperature was about 183.

i set mine to 13-1500
+1

every now and then I have to reach in there and adjust it back to about 1400 then after a few weeks the vibration slowly make it drop back to around 1000 and have to do it again.

I use to rev it a bit and when it dropped down it would die. But not that I turned it up a bit it does fine.

This is a really old thread and you aren't getting a reply. Try adjusting the idle speed on the left side of the bike on the end of the throttle body. If that doesn't work start a new thread of your own in the Tech section.(y)

hi guys how are you? i have a 2004 gsxr 1000 that runs great but when i come to a stop it shuts off. it cranks back immediately but cuts off every time i come to a stop. what are your thoughts to my solution?
Pour full fuel tank and test drive. If it helps, try to clean fuel tank, pump, strain and fuel filter in fuel tank.
