I bought my bike about 6 months ago and immediately laid it down.. The lay down was superficial, but enough to crack my left side plastics.

Heres the question..

When i look on the bike to see manufactured date it has 03-04.. But when i goto find replacement plastics (I want to match it exactly) the only thing that comes up is 2005 anniversary edition plastics..

I am wondering if there was something shady done with this bike?? I mean the guy I bought it from got it at a dealership just 6months before i bought it. The bike only had 3K miles on it when i got it. Title is clean and nothing comes up that would tell me this was a laydown/salvage...

Im just concerned that i wont be able to find the exact plastics and will loose my beutiful colors that i love. The only website that even has anything close to this i dont trust.. Ive heard the dont always fit.

Any Help is greatly appreciated.

Prob nothing wrong wit your bike that just happens to be when it was manufactured my brother in law has a k7 that was made 4/06 and mine was made almost a year l8r a lot of cars and bikes and such are made that way

If your bike is the one in your avatar, most likely a previous owner just liked the plastics from the Anniversary Edition and swapped them out.

If you want to know for sure just write down the vin number and go to the dealership. They can tell you for sure what year model and plastics came on it.

yes it is the one in the avatar.. I have larger images in the gallery, but i definately like those colors.. I get compliments on it when im riding and people are like, i havent seen that color scheme..

That is a sexy bike...I would do everything possible to search out the same plastics man--even if it means special ordering some anniversary editions. Good Luck!!!
