stay with the 750 my .02 . best of both worlds. most plp with 1000's don’t know how to ride to the bikes full possibilitys any ways. until i can just kill the streets and or track on my 750 i will always stay with da fiddy. Shyt to be honest i have friends on their 600 that just put it on me.

+1

It's all about skill, plenty of people on 600's could make me looks bad.

A brand new 750 nowadays, is gotta be much faster than the '04, I say go with the 750, the 1k is overkill.

750 all the way. I ride a 750 and can keep up with any 1000 on th street and track. It only makes a difference on the interstate
who r u riding with? 1k is always going to be faster unless its really old. its bigger for a reason.but i'd go with the 1k i barley noticed a difference from 600 to 750

So I would go with the 750 O and its the best all around bike built... But agin jst my .02

Your right but you cant use all that power in town and unless you race for team suzuki you cant use all that power on the track. Thats why I said it only makes a difference on the interstate. Anybody can go fast in a straight line. 750's turn up much quicker than any 1000 therefore the power is there quicker.

i dont understand how some say that there is a decent amount of power difference that they notice going from a 600 to a 750 and you say you can barely notice a difference??? :hmmm: Is it just you or is there really not that big of a power difference??

I love my 1K and wouldn't trade it for the world. If given the choice again...1K. No doubt. I don't think we can help you though. Something you'd have to decide for yourself. You know above anyone else what you're capable of and what you can handle.

Actually the 04/05 750s will be as fast or faster than the new ones. Since 06 the weight has steadily increased due to more stringent emissions standards while the power output is relatively unchanged.

And +1 on the 750. Had mine for 3 years and still have no desire to get rid of it.

Hey maybe you should just get a turbo busa. Natural selection will take it from there. but seriously, I dont think ive met a person that can ride a 600 to its max let alone a 750 or 1k. but youre going to get a 1k and we all already know that, so lets stop posting threads on this stupid topic. Get a 600 and become the best on that, then maybe get something else. like maybe a ninja 250

But then again a 600 isn't always the best for the STREET so possibly check out tha 750.

I have an 04 750 and I have never once thought I needed more power. However, I would probably be saying the same thing with a 600. I only use mine on the street. I don't drag race and I don't do track days (only b/c there aren't any close to me) so if you do, take my advice with a grain of salt. The 750 will likely be cheaper so if it were me I'd go 750.
