I need to replace my intake cam... two engines and both are messed up. :( (I honestly don't know, bought the bike in parts)

So I found some California models... but I'm thinking its safe to assume they Cali model is different and produces less power than standard North American model.

There are also some adjustables for a bit more but I'm not sure I would even know what to do with them. ;)

What is the general opinion of you guys?

This is for a 97 frame with a 99 engine (carbs, no FI) if that matters

I'm not sure what the question is, but the only difference between the California model and the 49 state model is that the California model has an evaportive cannister for the fuel tank vent, that's it. Mechanically and electrically it is exactly the same and produces the same amount of power. So, any cam from, or for that generation of motor will work.

Hmm... good to know... wonder why they bothered labeling the cams for Cali models differently. *shrug*
