ok i havent tried yet but am thinking about it before i get to doing it. I think i know how to do it but ill ask anyways. Ok i need ot adjust the left side rearset (stock) k8 1000 all the way up and forward, so to do this i just loosen the 4 hex bolts and take off the shift linkage before i can move it right? then just readjust the linkage to the new spot. is that right or wrong, lemme know before i get doin it

Not sure how different the 1k is from the 750 but I had to take those bolts all the way out if I remember correctly, and I didnt have to remove the shifter linkage either. But its been 2 years since I did it but anyway, you should have no probs fingering it out

Just did my 08 1k gixxer today. Simply remove the (2) bolts on eack lever plate and set the lever in the desired position. Reinstall the bolts with a little blue locktite. There are 3 positions to choose from. Mine came in the top, forward position. I move mine straight down. I did not have to adjust the shifter rod length at all.
