Hey guys, I am almost about to buy a gsx-r 600, but I have some things I wanted to talk about first before I did anything.

Should I buy a new bike for my first bike? I don't know how to ride but I will be attending riding classes shortly.

Also if I get a used bike what are something to look for, in a used bike?

And another thing is.. I live in Illinois right now and I am moving to caLifornia in a month and a half. I heard that bikes outside of california can't come in because of the different emissions etc. Can you guys give me some more info.

Thanks.

If your fairly new to riding I would suggest used. Unless you are willing to live with scarred plastics and possibly bent levers and willing to do that to a new bike. I have never personally met someone who hasnt went down, be it on a road or in the freakin driveway:clap: no comment!

This question can only be answered by someone who knows you well. If you're responsible and treat the bike with respect then there's no reason not to go with a new bike. I'm a young guy, 19 on a new 2006 750 and couldn't be happier. Just be sure to take the MSF course and then go from there. Good luck to ya
