yea I had had my bike for a year and 5 months that was the first time I had to wash it with water to get it clean. I always just wipe it down after a ride not this time.

I like it as far as tearing up jeans and legs I couldn't say I always ride geared up full leathers, boots and gloves. If you don't like it you can always remove it. And its cheap enough.
