i've got a 05 1k and my buddies got an 06 600. he changed his front sprocket to -1. my question is can i put his old OEM sprocket on my 1000 without and complications. i have the factory chain and sprocket on my 1k

No you can't. The 525 is much thinner and would allow for too much play.

can u? yes u can. But should you? NO.... It would def be a bad Idea too much play and it would move around way too much. It would wear extremely quick if it didnt jump off

I guess you could, but being part of the bike that transfers all the power to wheel, I would not mess with it and possible tear your bike up or your ankle off.
