ive been doing a lot of searching on here and im really surprised that there isnt a sticky talking about some of the different options for chains. but oh well i will make a post and just hope i get a response.

im in need of a chain. after some searching i think this one may be a good bet for my bike. i have a 2003 GSXR 1000. i will be putting new steel factory gear sprockets on it as well.

is this a good chain? if not a good choice can you make a suggestion.

thanks

Cant go wrong with that chain for just street riding. However, if you go to the drag strip alot then I would look for a chain with more tensile strength. I use RK GB520XSO chains on my street and race bikes. They offer that chain in a 530 as well in silver or gold. You can find this chain for $99 plus I would advise anyone to pay an extra $5-$6 and get a rivet master link instead of using the clip style link. The RK GB530XSO also has better seals than the VM series for DID. I love DID and have used them before so it's not that I'm a DID hater.
